Lineup 2015

Yeah I was really disappointed at Reading but I put that down to the shit crowd and sound. They were great supporting Neil Young last year, I imagine they'd be phenomenal at their own headline gig, I've gotta be there next time they tour.

Think the consensus is very pro-National :P

When I saw The National last year supporting Neil Young it was weird as I was impressed by their music but I just found them boring live but then again I like Pop Punk and Baby Godzilla so what do I know

Sounds identical to my experience seeing Spiritualized playing before the the Libertines :)

With an act like The National it's probably gonna be boring if you don't know the songs. It's not like it's a fun experience, aside from the music.

It's like when we saw The Cure and half of the group were saying it was boring as shit because they had to watch 2.5 hours of songs they didn't know... They knew it was going to be a 2.5 hour set... They knew they didn't know any songs... What the fuck else were they expecting?

That's not aimed at you, JAN, just went on a tangent after making my point.

Tbf when I saw The National, I had only heard their latest album- they were still top draw. One of the best headliners I've ever seen.

It's a very close friend of mine's birthday on the sunday of reading this year, they are going for the whole weekend with some people

Only acts i'm really bothered about (so far) on the sunday are Kendrick Lamar, Libertines, Jamie T and Refused and I doubt I can see all four of them.

Do I buy a day ticket or not ?!??!!?!?!?????

EDIT: and there's a high chance Jamie T will be at glasto so ???!?!?

Get a ticket, for that price. Remember I don't think you get into the campsite anymore though to join them drinking.

A day ticket is the cost a Libertines Hyde Park ticket last year, so for them it's worth it. Kendrick/Refused would be good experiences and regarding Jamie T if he does play Glasto because it's Glasto there will be something at the same time worth seeing. Sunday is the best day this year by some way this year I feel and if I can cough up the cash I may consider a Leeds tickets for the Friday

On this topic, what is the typical number of songs for bands 4th or 5th on the bill??? I'd love to see the Macc/Cribs but if they aren't doing that many songs I may just hold out for Manchester dates on their respective next tours.

    • Either or. They both play the same venues.

    • Interesting to read. It's mostly why we stopped going a few years back even though it's the nearest big festival to home. The post-exams timing and location makes it a rites of passage first festival for people in a big area. Understandably that leads to a bit of giddiness. Think lineup would need to be a lot more my cup of tea to be enticed back. Friends who are there are having a good time tho and no rain is a good thing for up there.
    • I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.
