What was the best day ever (that you've experienced) at Leeds/ Reading?

Any day from Leeds 2002.

Probably the Saturday just edges it.

Finch

Guided by Voices

Dandy Warhols

White Stripes

Weezer

Jane's Addiction

Pulp

Breeders

Strokes

On paper the Sunday at Leeds 2011 is probably the best day for me (that I've been to).

Pulp

The Strokes

The National

Jimmy Eat World

Madness

Tribes

Seasick Steve

The Joy Formidable

Unfortunately The Strokes were disappointing and I missed TJF.

Hahaha I practically did this day. Except I saw king blues in between Strokes and Pulp. And I also fit a little bit of LetLive in and watched BBC.

I also missed TJF. I SLEPT IN! my friends said they were incredible. I just got into the Arena in time to catch Funeral Party's last 2/3 songs.

I agree with Hawky, Leeds Saturday 2010.

Blink-182

Paramore

Weezer

Cypress Hill

Limp Bizkit

You Me At Six

All Time Low

Thrice

The King Blues

Motion City Soundtrack

I saw everyone apart from Cypress Hill, which still irks me even now

I had waited YEARS to see Blink, and never thought I'd get to because of their split. When they announced their comeback and I saw they were headlining Leeds, I borrowed £90 from my Mum (I was only 17 at the time) and bought a ticket and to this day I have never been more excited than I was the night I bought that ticket, except for the actual day I saw them at the festival. The whole day was perfect. It still stands as the best day of my life so far, that might sound silly to some of you but imagine going to see your recently reunited favourite band of all time for the first time. I genuinely smile every times think about that day.

It was my first experience of a festival and I fell in love with the place as soon as I got through the gates.

Same with me. I was so excited for Blink, literally never thought I'd get to see them and I enjoyed their performance soooo much. Everything from playing a song wrong to Travis' drum solo, loved it.

I went for the full weekend for the first time that year, I was 16. 17 in September.

Anyone who is at R&L to see Antemasque deserves that

Hahaha. Am I right in saying they released their first album in... October/ November last year? I only know about it because I believe they recorded with Flea? I remember being relatively excited to listen to it...

I'd say a contender would also be Friday of 2014.

Darlia

Fat White Family

Enter Shikari

Jamie T

Queens Of The Stone Age

Was camped really close to the arena last year so tended to nip back to my tent for a few beers and a sit-down between bands instead of seeing acts that I wasn't overly fussed about, hence the fact that I only saw the 5. Was so glad about the Jamie T surprise set that day though, had a huge gap between Shikari and QOTSA where I wasn't bothered about seeing anyone, filled it in nicely.

Gonna be a bit controversial and say Friday at Leeds last year aka Blink day.

The Story So Far

Baby Godzilla

A Day To Remember

The Wonder Years (favourite set of the weekend too by a mile)

Every time I Die

letlive.

Also saw blink which was a good bit of nostalgia and a few other bands.

But Saturday at Leeds last year as well was great with QOTSA, Paramore, Vampire Weekend and Enter Shikari being great and I have to mention Friday 2013 with Biffy Clyro, NIN and Crossfaith :D

Also has anyone got the new Architects EP in kerrang as every copy I've found doesn't have the download card in and the asked at several shops where they're being stocked and no one seems to know where they are and it is the only reason I want to buy Kerrang this week

Haha I arrived on the day and went to meet my brother's group in the campsite, and missed TJF because they'd all slept I'm.

We also arrived at the arena towards the end of Funeral Party's set. I went to see Funeral Party at the Leadmill earlier that year (God knows why, I don't even like them), and that's where I discovered Tribes. They were the support act, and Johnny Lloyd had trapped his thumb in his guitar case and it was bleeding. When they played Nightdriving it was spraying blood on us in the front row. I got a setlist with his blood on it. Then saw Tribes on that day at Leeds in a crowd of about 50 people. Good times.

Are you sure you didn't walk into a Gwar concert instead?... Edited by A_Hawky

Blew my 16 year old mind :P

The only problem about it was that it made them a bit disappointing last year

Ye, I was sat on the hill watching them on main. It just wasn't the same.

2013 I saw a nose get broken and blood on everyone's clothes. Ah, metal- I love thee.

Yeah Friday last year was great. Misty Miller, Blood Red Shoes, Drenge, Royal Blood, Vampire Weekend, Paramore and QOTSA.

Sunday 2012 I saw Of Monsters and Men, Howler, Django Django, Tribes, The Joy Formidable and Mark Lanegan back to back in the NME which was cool.

Tchami just announced for Creamfields, boy do I hope he's also playing at R&L.

Only been to the last two fests, but Friday 2013 was damn good: Kodaline > Skindred > Fidlar > Peace > Clean Bandit > Deftones > SOAD > Green Day (for an hour) / Skrillex

Last years Sunday was great,

Tonight Alive > Young Guns > Papa Roach > Neck Deep > A Day To Remember > You Me At Six > Letlive > Blink 182

Though I really enjoyed early on the Saturday with

Lonely The Brave > Marmozets > Royal Blood > Lower Than Atlantis > Basement > The Hives > Don Broco
