rjb94
anyone trying for gateshead? ticket website is a complete disaster. Had to phone them because it doesn't recognise my postcode
evilduck
Totally forgot about this and only just got on See, obviously Albert Hall sold out in seconds but they have added a Hammersmith Apollo date for the night before so I got stalls seats for that instead. The_Amazing_Oblong
Tried seetickets - sale went on at 9am, selected 2 tickets only to be told they were unavailable and then sold out at 9:01am. Managed to get them through ticketmaster in the end - Nottingham Royal Theatre. Tier 2 low numbers, never been to this venue so no idea if the tickets are any good or not. Hotel booked 100 yards down the road.
CaledonianGonzo
She bought too many?? Yup. She bought one set on See and then found slightly better ones on Ticketmaster. There's not really much in it - they're both sets of average-to-fairly-good seats. Edinburgh Playhouse is an odd shape. It's deceptively long, thin and corridor-like. russycarps
I guess nick cave is now officially popular with the masses. Time to declare him shit and move on I guess.
CaledonianGonzo
The Google stats show that his popularity exploded with hipsters just after Red Right Hand was used in Scream.
When Jokers Attack
I like Red Right Hand but It's no where near one of my favourite Cave songs.

I dont think even last years gigs sold out this fast did they? Though I have just looked at seatwave and there are literally hundreds of tickets on there. russycarps
I like Red Right Hand but It's no where near one of my favourite Cave songs. same here. See also stagger lee. Hopefully both are dropped for a while. mercy seat should be the only ever-present...
russycarps
Can't see stagger Lee being played if it is a stripped back set. I like the version of mercy seat on live at kcrw though I'm worried he'll try and be clever and do some ballad arrangement of stagger lee that will be turd. I hope it's not all ballads though. Though I do hope he does sad waters. Lousy Love Letter seems almost certain. Fuck that song. Knowing my luck I'll get rock of sodding gibraltar too
CaledonianGonzo
BRING ON THE CAVE LOVE SONGS well up for a laidback, Burt Bacharach-esque evening of Boatman's Call and No More Shall We Part-era smoochers.
Frankly Mr Shankly
Got mine pretty easily, just hoping I haven't used up all of my ticket buying good luck pre Glastonbury sale.
Gucci Piggy
I'm worried he'll try and be clever and do some ballad arrangement of stagger lee that will be turd. This is alright...http://youtu.be/Hm1MbhXIhT0

When Jokers Attack
I bought Grinderman's first record off amazon for £8 last night. Bargain!
Zoo Music Girl
Hold up, so they added an Apollo date and that sold out too? Motherfucker. My seat is shit. I might have to rectify this. However, first I'll need to earn some money as I am skint as bollocks now. Cheers, big guy.
camera_obscura
Totally ecstatic to get 2 tickets for the Nottingham show. Especially after telling my boyfriend that we couldn't afford them if we're also trying for Glasto tickets tomorrow, then I went and got them anyway as a surprise, he is going to be a very happy boy on Christmas morning

They are bound to come up over the coming months. Will wait til next year though.
tommyds
Going to the Royal Albert Hall gig, the Mrs is chuffed (I'm playing it cool) Just clicked 'best available' because I don't really know the layout of the RAH, but the ones I got allocate seem pretty good, they're in the stalls at least
russycarps
His vinyl reissues have started. Eternity, funeral and firstborn available in my local record store. Not sure if others available elsewhere yet but I know they weren't all being released yet. I'd get your funeral first out of that lot
Swieve
Vinyls of Nocturama, Abbatoir Blues and Dig all being released in November
Mardy
so, tickets for his gig here range from 16 quid (for restricted/ no view) up to abut 400 quid. Anything decent seems to be in the 80 quid category. Hmmmm..
Mardy
Does that mean it'll be three a month? Seems a strange choice the ones he's announced so far. Boatman's Call would be amazing. Boatman's call is the one I'd be holding out for (skint at the minute) although, honestly, Nocturama is quite tempting too
russycarps
The only albums of his I don't own in any format are dig lazarus and firstborn is dead so for that reason alone was gonna get firstborn. Although can see sad waters and the carny sounding awesome on vinyl. fair dos. Seems a waste to get dig in that format before pretty much any other cave album though. If I were you I'd buy a second hand CD of it and save the vinyl £££ for a better album. dig is my least favourite by far
