Why are Depeche Mode looking less likely? Posts in their own forums suggest they may well be on a European Festival tour next summer.

I don't think elbow will headline, nearly all of their arena shows are 33 quid and haven't even sold out standing, can't see it.

Also doesn't fit with the general touring rules for acts who have headlined Glastonbury in recent years. I think they'll be on before a headline act, but nothing more.

Agree with what everyone has said about Elbow

I just think the majority of people only know one song, they're the type of band where people go 'oh yeah i like elbow', but what do they really know apart from One Day Like this, Grounds for divorce and maybe Open Arms? Just wouldn't work having them topping the bill

They sold tickets a lot faster than Elbow have.

there were AC/DC Rumours... cant see them playing a festival ever again after the farce of Download a few years ago...

Hate when people refer to an out of the ordinary headliner like Metallica playing they always refer to Jay-Z working well. Metallica have achieved enough to pretty much get a headline set, everything up to the Black Album is fantastic. Then there is bits and pieces from the other albums.

And to 5co77ie although they are heavy technically their music is so much better than the 2013 headliners, and Lars wants to play so why not? After all Jay-Z worked well.
