I don't think people were ok with Chase and Status, pendulum and Skrillex. The prodigy is a bit different because they have 'roots' with the festival and do have a fairly big cross over appeal. There was a lot of pissed people when C&S subbed last year, especially with them playing above machine head. I certainly remember a negative reaction to those bands playing or being mentioned

Pendulum are a Download favourite and get the same reaction as The Prodigy do, when C+S were announced there was a lot of negative reaction but I have heard no one give them a bad review only heard positive things about their performance, Skrillex is a dicey one mainly because he is quite shit

Yup Pendulum were very well received they worked their way up to headline second stage for their 3rd appearance not forgetting they also did a DJ set too.

Chase and Status seemed to piss a lot of people off however.

I think Knife Party will be booked as a third stage headliner next year, being they are essentially Pendulum

If Nickelback are confirmed as a headliner and I see no reason why the information provided isn't true I really can't see A7X headlining next year, 2015 would seem much more likely.

My initial headliner prediction was A7X, Pearl Jam & Aerosmith but I can't see Nickelback and Aerosmith together so perhaps the top of the line up could look something like this:

Nickleback

Kiss

Weezer

Deftones

Pearl Jam

NIN

Slayer

Skrillex

Linkin Park

Alterbridge

Frank Turner

Motley Crue

That would be far from my first choice but there would be enough there for me to get a weekend ticket.

do you mean knife party as 2nd stage headers?

C&S also won a lot over.

i reckon wwezer subbing would get a great response. KISS are not subbing no, nor are they headlining. Deftones I think sub - they don't need that spot that's between kinda 3rd/sub, at Download they are a sub.

Interesting selections there for 2nd headliners. I fucking hope you are wrong. Don't get me wrong I love Steel panther as a novelty afternoon act...................actually you're taking the piss aren't you? BVB suck baws.

No way nickelback get a grip

Hard to pick headliners you would think avenged sevenfold will be up there as they have a number 1 album

Foo fighters and pearl jam are more reading/Leeds I think

So usual suspects come out Tool have a new cd due but are they big enough?

Metallica always get a shout but they only headlined last year?

I'm going for

Avenged sevenfold

Tool

And either one of

Earl jam/foo fighters

Then the remaining one will headline reading/Leeds with metallica
