He seems to be free for a glastonbury appearance?

Eric ain't gonna garner too much support on these boards if memory serves.

Well he would from me. Shout and a half about Clapton. Perfect kind of act in my eyes!

Wonderful tonight's better than his Godawful version of I shot the sheriff.

This is true. I don't think theres ever been an artist so highly regarded who has written such a tiny amount of quality music. Hes written fuck all worthwhile in over 45 years.

Would he really turn up just for that if he wasn't doing a set himself though?

Not being argumentative it's an honest question.

Would seem a shame for him to be there and just do a couple of songs.

He's guested with them a fair few times before, so that's really what I'm basing it on.

If eric is there, it'l be as a stones guest.

after he's joined Winwood just before up in the acoustic tent

wasn't there a year 05, 07? that Eavis speculated that he had Clapton for the following year? something along the lines of "told him we were fully booked this year, but he's definitely doing next year"?

I really, really like Behind The Mask.

Behold: THE SINGLE MOST 80S VIDEO EVER:

My brother's said that he'd only ever consider Glastonbury were Clapton playing, and certainly were he there, I'd watch him. But seriously, what a terrible man.

I suggested this scenario in another thread. With Ginger Baker on drums, after he's played West Holts with his new Jazz Collective.

Oh, and I seem to remember the same Eavis quote as you.

AND, I totally understand why people on here hate him and his politics have appeared very questionable but could he really have collaborated with and promoted the music of so many black musicians if he was really racist? I know this is a circular debate and I'm certainly not entering into an argument with anyone about it but there's a glaring inconsistency.

I hear you, and I too don't want to argue.

But of all the "white people stole the blues" arguments, can you think of anyone whiter? For many years I wrongly refused to acknowledge the value of blues. Sheer idiocy on my part, but it was wholly as a result of having Clapton's music foisted upon me through childhood.
