So essentially:

Massive rainfall this week

Little rainfall this week

I remember the forecasts saying last week that the bad rainfall was meant to start Tuesday just gone (which it did) and end this coming Tuesday/Wednesday. So I'm hoping it's the latter image.

You're all wierdos. Come over and pray to the sun gods. Enough of this mumbo jumbo science thing. Get on your knees and pray like you've never prayed before. Rejoice at the magnificence of the sun gods. They, and they alone will determine what weather we get at Glastonbury. I simply can't understand why you can't see it.

Country File didn't look too bad for the coming week. Looked like there was a lump* high pressure off the South West at the back end of next week. On that I pin my hopes. Looking a some site pics now, here: https://twitter.com/RangerRoy8

Ground looks OK to me, weather looks at bit grey but we're over a week off yet. (NFR NFC)

Hahaha I, for one, am shocked to see the "forecaster" blithering on about that story being Jonathan fucking Powell. The guy is an absolute know nothing charlatan that the mail and express adore cos he will give them headlines like that. He's a genuine idiot.

My research involves going to BBC weather, typing Glastonbury in the search box. Scrolling along to the furthest it forecasts, Tuesday 25th, and seeing it has a white cloud with a sun coming out from behind it. Looking good, I'll stick with that (until it looks worse).

Well the way I see it we've got it all to play for and it could go one way or the other, happily either way we're laughing. It's going to be high teens with a few light showers OR it's going to be mid to high 20's with no showers. Either way, no mudbath.

    • Well he is on a rape charge, don't see that one as controversial.    Although Hakimi is in Morocco squad.
    • Electric Callboy just said they'll be touring here next year. I'm not sure there's a poster for it though. I'll look when I'm near some next.      He said we'll see you at Download at a gig before any of the band. Presumably he was trolling. They're in Austria at the moment and Germany tomorrow with a week's break and more shows in Germany. Whilst not impossible to come back here and then go over there again, it seems unlikely.
    • Thomas Partey, knocked back by Canadian immigration now.
    • I'm sure someone can update you on the clashfinder, and it will be pretty accurate by the time the festival comes around. It's a large flat-ish arena with main stage in the open air, no best side I'd say. Leadmill (3rd stage medium tent) is at the back of the main arena, T'Other (2nd stage big tent) 5 min walk round the corner. At full capacity walking around can take a bit more time though. I noticed that The Enemy are scheduled to not fully overlap with Wolf Alice, so you could catch part of their set too.   You can walk around anywhere with a beer, with most bars the usual mass market stuff, but one nice craft ale tent, back of the arena near the Leadmill stage. A main meal will set you back £10-15, but cheaper snacks also available. Expect a pint to be £7-8. Possibly a bit more this year as prices everywhere are increasing.   It's fairly easy to get to from the town centre using the tram, although can be busy at peak times / very busy at curfew. If you like a walk, it's approx 40 mins to Kelham Island (lots of indy venues) and probably an hour to the city, or catch an Uber. There will be loads of 'fringe' music events on around the city right through the weekend. Most are free. Have a wonderful trip, enjoy the festival, and your stay in our city!
    • I think people on a place like this, that clearly value live music more than most, don't. I'd rather an academy than an arena every day. But I could see a few people that care about "the gram" than the actual music wanting an arena experience even if it's a mid sized band.
