and yes, but... at Leeds and Reading. hardly the most sophisticated of festivals. Pendulum would've got a bigger crowd than Bowie at Reading and Leeds. Glastonbury is a totally different entity and Arcade Fire would go down a storm if they headlined, by themselves

The crowd at Leeds was pretty small as most of the younger people went to see Pendulum,so hardly a raging success as festival headliners.

of course there's not. Led Zeppelin are are a band that have played together twice in the last 24 years, don't have anything new to promote and aren't even officially together.

I've seen Bowie five times now (including once at the Brixton Academy, fronting the unloved Tin Machine) and I'd LOVE to see him again. Partly because he's one of the most extraordinary performers of our time, partly because he sings so much better these days and partly because - well, he can open with 'Rebel Rebel', close with 'Ashes to Ashes' and rattle through 'Heroes', 'Ziggy Stardust' and 'Rock'n'Roll Suicide' for an encore. Simply put - he has a hell of a songbook.

But - the important thing here, surely, is that he's writing and recording again. Whether he plays Glastonbury or not - I'm far more pleased that he's come out of retirement and that he's happy being creative again.

Your post said"there's more chance of Led Zep playing Glastonbury", which there's not. Unless there's a dog from BGT called Led Zep, I don't see which bit I've misunderstood.
