Foals have always been a bit too sixth-formy for me to really love, while I appreciate their charms I was hoping that Inhaler may have indicated the growing of a set of balls but it appears not.

i've also downloaded it today ( i have it pre-ordered so i don't feel bad about it, i'll delete the illegal copy when it's out) and i think it's realllllllly good

the end of Providence is wicked, and Milk & Black Spiders is great, as in Inhaler, My Number and Bad Habit. the rest will be growers i think, but it's a solid album from start to finish

Just in case anyone wants them i have two standing tickets to the royal albert hall on 28th march. With fees they were £14 each and they're for the top tier unreserved standing. I want face value and will be going to the gig (my mate got floor standing tickets) so could exchange then... otherwise will list on scarlet mist.

Give it time the album only just came out, you never know how big they'll be by June.

I'd say they're not far off how big Bloc Party were when they headlined other. Except Bloc Party were on the way down and Foals are on the way up

i don't know what school Foals went to, but they sound posh to me. aren't they from Oxford, home of renowned posh lads Radiohead? and there's a university in Oxford that is quite posh too apparently.

and they're called Foals FFS. you have to be rich to own a horse.

I heard the single being constantly played by 6 before xmas and remember thinking how U2 it sounded. Then I noticed Flood had his mucky fingers all over the album.

That single was canny but I struggle with a lot of their earlier stuff.
