Festival clothes

What's your special clothing that you use nowhere else except festivals?

I've got 3 special pairs of Glasto socks that never come out elsewhere, and a Flamenco dress that hasn't been to Glasto yet, but has been out at festivals this summer!

My "Music Pirate" T-Shirt. Not necessarily Glaso specific, but I have worn it on the first day of every festival I have been to in the last 5 years. It's seen better days now but will still be worn on the Wednesday next year

My dinosaur onsie ;-) yes do have one but not for festivals . My purple fluffy shrug with toadstools on the hood and the end of the sleeves !!!!

I've got a jacket that I purchased at Glasto last time. There's not much chance of me wearing it anywhere else, but I'll get away with it there. I'll probably be wearing it en route to the farm next year!

3/4 Cargo Pants, handy for storing cans and bottles of spirit as I wonder around and oh my festival hat (A White trilby type thing ) T-shirts change each yeah mind, normally what ever I can get cheap at Primarks so it don't matter if they get ruined

By rights it should be a straight jacket that I should wear at Glasto. However, it's not. The most often worn garment is a pair of combat trousers. Ideal for storing bits and bobs you may need while walking on that hallowed ground.

i just take normal shorts/ 3/4 length adidas trousers/vests and tshirts

My two pairs of Primark trousers, maroon chinos (I'm less fond of) & black skinny jeans. Cheap, dry out really quickly & have really deep pockets for phone, wallet & camera.

Canterbury rugby socks that are thicker around the foot area.

Those convertible trousers where you can move from shorts in the day to long trousers as it gets colder. Works great when we get the weather

The dress I am wearing in my profile picture. I love this dress and have never quite been able to throw it out. I used to wear it all the time, but it is far too young for me to wear anywhere but festivals now! I can't work out either why I have these clothes rules for every day life, or why I think they don't apply once I get my tent up!

Also - to be fair, there is a mode of dress that I find practical for Glastonbury that I wouldn't wear anywhere else - and that is the "shorts & tights" look that in the real world only works on teenage girls. It is a look I really like, but would make me look like a bag lady if I wore in Birmingham. At Glastonbury tho - it works so well on so many levels. In wet & muddy conditions the tights dry quickly so you're no left with soggy jeans/cargos/trousers for hours, but at the same time, provide more protection from the elements and wellie rash than bare legs (and also protect the world from the full horror of my knees!). At the same time, they are small, light and uncreasable to pack! That is my excuse for dressing up as someone a third of my actual age anyway!

my pink festival hat until I lost it as a fest this year proper sad about that, I actually think it was taken form my bag as it was in an easy zipped bit on my back. gutted ;( I always take my Animal hooded fleece,its great for those cold evenings
