I can literally see the lineup being something along the lines of;

Queens of the Stone Age

Paramore

Vampire Weekend

The 1975

Blink 182

You Me At Six

Weezer

Franz Ferdinand

Arctic Monkeys

Foals

Two Door Cinema Club

Disclosure

Now how underwhelming and aweful would that be? Yes theres bands I like there but no wow factor at all, I like Foals but subbing no. Queens, VW and Weezer would be brilliant but nothing out the ordinary or shocking.

You Me At Six for sub-headliner? Please no...

Not on topic at all, but could any of you recommend some smaller festivals for me to go to next year? Most of you know my music taste but can answer questions of you have any. Also, preferably in the north west and I was thinking about Parklife and Kendal Calling

That's why I dislike the announcements dripped out starting in December thing. We all spend so long speculating about who will play, usually speculation biased to our favourite bands, and then end up disappointed by the acts that appeal to a younger crowd who'll ask for tickets as Christmas presents and stuff.

Bit naive to write Latitude of all festivals off on the first announcement though, seeing as their undercard is much more important than the headliners, compared to other festivals anyway.

    • We don't have any choice but I don't need a t-shirt for it! 🙂    On the bright side, it gets it out of the way for a nice 5 year run... notwithstanding wars, new contagious diseases and apocalypse.

    • More O2 December dates gone and still no Paul McCartney shows announced
    • Quick question. Rather enjoyed the Rhubarb Cider from the bars. I know Thatchers did the pump ciders but who made the Rhubarb Cider?
    • Top 5 acts of the weekend for me: 1. The Cure 2. my bloody valentine  3. caroline 4. Father John Misty 5. Big Thief   Biggest disappointments: - Slowdive (the mixing/sound just wasn’t right, and that was about 20 rows from the front of the stage) - The xx (also too quiet and marred by talkers who had no interest in the music)    Positives from an organisational sense: - extra water point at Mordor this year - handing out ponchos before the rain and ear plugs before mbv    However…two of the water points had ran out on Saturday evening, which is completely unacceptable when you stop people from bringing in large bottles of water, and charge €4.50 at the bars for a 330ml can
