hahaha no fucking way can it be Blink. were there really so few headliners available to FR that they've had to go for a headliner that was brought into question as a headliner the last time they played!?

was going to suggest that Blink could be co-headlining with Parmore but then realised that'd be exactly the same as 2010

site was updated earlier today... WE SEE YOU NEIL WE SEE YOU.

I think we should give props to luckysalt, maybe reading DO have arctics, maybe for once efestivals have got it quite wrong.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE.

Nobody ever thought Lucky was feeding us bullshit, it just seemed like wrong info. It seems a bit unfair on him that when his often correct source said it people weren't particularly convinced and now someone Matt knows has said it we've eaten it up. :P

Arctic Monkeys, Blink & Two bands coheadlining sounds very 2011 structured to me.

Established band that's just come off a glasto slot.

A band returning to headline, (questionable band may I add)

and co-headliners.

And I thought 2011 was the weakest reading ever! :')

Every time R&L have a new headliner they are questioned (even Kasabian were questioned as not big enough) but Blink are massive and not played another fests since R&L.

Now are Blink god-like or legendary?

I think it's more that efestivals updated the line-up page to a photo of Blink this afternoon rather than what Matt heard.

where has all this god-like, legendary and up and coming bollocks come from?

Yellow_Fellow troling the forums by pretending he heard that the headliners fit into those categories, and as people love nothing more than a pattern to help them predict it was lapped up. Although most people refer to it in a piss-taking way now, only a few still take it seriously.

Yes, I would say the picture is the bigger clue (for want of a better word). Although it should be remembered efests could be having a laugh :P

I'm just passing on what I've been told. In fact I haven't really said anything because I don't think I'm allowed, but it doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

At this moment in time I can't really have a lot of faith in it, so I don't expect you guys to.

    • Electric Callboy just said they'll be touring here next year. I'm not sure there's a poster for it though. I'll look when I'm near some next.      He said we'll see you at Download at a gig before any of the band. Presumably he was trolling. They're in Austria at the moment and Germany tomorrow with a week's break and more shows in Germany. Whilst not impossible to come back here and then go over there again, it seems unlikely.
    • Thomas Partey, knocked back by Canadian immigration now.
    • I'm sure someone can update you on the clashfinder, and it will be pretty accurate by the time the festival comes around. It's a large flat-ish arena with main stage in the open air, no best side I'd say. Leadmill (3rd stage medium tent) is at the back of the main arena, T'Other (2nd stage big tent) 5 min walk round the corner. At full capacity walking around can take a bit more time though. I noticed that The Enemy are scheduled to not fully overlap with Wolf Alice, so you could catch part of their set too.   You can walk around anywhere with a beer, with most bars the usual mass market stuff, but one nice craft ale tent, back of the arena near the Leadmill stage. A main meal will set you back £10-15, but cheaper snacks also available. Expect a pint to be £7-8. Possibly a bit more this year as prices everywhere are increasing.   It's fairly easy to get to from the town centre using the tram, although can be busy at peak times / very busy at curfew. If you like a walk, it's approx 40 mins to Kelham Island (lots of indy venues) and probably an hour to the city, or catch an Uber. There will be loads of 'fringe' music events on around the city right through the weekend. Most are free. Have a wonderful trip, enjoy the festival, and your stay in our city!
    • I think people on a place like this, that clearly value live music more than most, don't. I'd rather an academy than an arena every day. But I could see a few people that care about "the gram" than the actual music wanting an arena experience even if it's a mid sized band.
    • The single worst shout for any slot on any stage in the history of efests. Worse even than the Wursels or The Wombles.    Unlikely I’d be there, but okay with the other two. Boy George is a class act, plus he could DJ in Block 9
