Well, since everyone seems to be doing it...

Reading/Leeds - Blur, Biffy/Bloc Party, Green Day or a totally unexpected act (Jay Z?) Yes to Blur, Yes to Biffy/Bloc, No to Green Day

Glasto - Arcade Fire or Arctic Monkeys , The Stone Roses, Lady Gaga AF maybe, Arctics No, both other two.

IOW - Arcade Fire or Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Act shared with Hard Rock if on (Fleetwood Mac or The Who?) I only see Muse and Fleetwood here

V - Lady Gaga, Muse It's very possible, fit's in with what someone's been told about IOW and it would be Muse being the T and V shared header.

TITP - The Killers/Biffy, Lady Gaga, Green Day Except for Muse, I reckon that's easily as good a chance any anything.

Download - Paramore, Rammstein, Pearl Jam Could well be, Rammstein I reckon is one.

Rockness - Bloc Party, Calvin Harris/Example, The Prodigy Step down for The Prodigy after doing MK Bowl, they are a mile ahead of all 3 of the others mentioned. T NME header sticks out better.

yeah, shes pretty much going to be stuffed down our throats

He's done an interview this year where he said he's coming round to the idea of 'heavy' headliners though it'll be the year after next before anyone fitting that description gets booked.

I see Blur get mentioned on here a lot for Reading, is that based on anything in particular?

The Who are touring into next year though must be a chance of them doing IOW if they're doing any fests. The Prodigy could be an option, as could Noel Gallagher though not sure either would headline. I suppose Reading might take a punt at Mumfords for headliners, be the first to push them up to that level.

He told us that he didn't think Biffy were a headline band yet, and that the Stone Roses weren't being looked at (nor would they be at Glasto) also said there would be no metal headliner. Said some other stuff but I was kind of drunk and forgot. Obviously didn't take anything as fact though... he's a promoter.

Judging by the post I'm wondering if it's something Melvin said to him at the festival? It's all I can think of haha. If it is something Melvin said, then Biffy definitely won't be one of the 2 already booked, and not the 3rd one he wants, which makes things interesting. :)

In 2009 when Blur when playing Glasto/Hyde Park they said they would like to play Reading so maybe next time or something to that effect and Neil heard something about them being in line but later said it was rubbish.

Why are people talking about Glasto iin the R&L forum?

    • That's the festival apart fay tickets in some form sold out.
    • There’s a few in there which could go either way or I’m not bothered if I miss but think that’s now be pretty set.  Few rubbish clashes like Kasabian/Loyle plus Reytons/Pixies/CMAT but I’ll head with the lads to the most popular one.   (And yes no Byrne or Twigs, just can’t into either)
    • I saw somewhere they were advertising Lewis' day as him live on Glagow Green and only mentioned Amy Mcdonald and CMAT as support, 0 mention of the festival  I completely agree this will probably be the last one which is a shame because the first 2 seemed so promising and now its turned into middle of the road rubbish with acts you can see everywhere else  Anyone know if the BBC are covering it next week as it'll be fascinating to see how full (or empty) it is
    • Did anyone catch Viagra Boys last night? A rollicking good set, with a little more free jazz than I expected.   if you’re up early, Walabi is doing a super job in the Cupra Pulse. There till six.
