Can we not call some kind of a truce here. Everyone that's bothered, just be happy that you've not been fooled by an old member with a new account. Said new member, just be happy that you've still got a place to discuss festivals, just focus on that. And anyone else involved, the world is a pretty big place, with pretty big problems, this really isn't one of them.

Is it impossible for Depeche Mode to headline R&L? It would be a Cure style booking and they have sold out 2 nights at the O2 in double quick time. Didn't Neil suggest they would play a UK festival? If they don't play R&L where else would they play?

Maybe they're not heavy metal/ rock with lots of electric guitars and drums, but I don't really understand how you can class mumford as 'smooth, calm acoustic folk', listen to Babel and you'll clearly see that. I personally think they would be fantastic headliners.

i get that theyre pretty big atm but i doubt that they would cater for the R&L crowd (maybe just opinion?)

can you imagine wanting your headliner for the night to be a smooth, calm, acoustic folk band ?

doubt it.

Yeah he said they're in America at the time.

What about Latitude? I think the reason we ruled that out was due to it making them play two days in a row. However the O2 Arena shows suggest they'd be prepared to do that. Although playing two days in a row in two different countries may be a sticking point.
