Ronaldo is/was one of the most fouled players as well, doesnt mean he isnt a cheat. Suarez was known for going down too easily before he even signed for liverpool. Hopefully as you say he is improving but it is a part of his game I could do without.

The evidence was there WAY before Fergie said anything. Suarez has a standard dive, both legs up in the air, roll into a ball with a hand up in the air as if hes calling for a stretcher. Hes done it lots of times in his LFC career so far. Doesn't mean hes not a cracking player though.

Nani has cut a lot of it out after his awful dive in Old Trafford vs Liverpool last year (when Agger said "play football"), as has Drogba.

Ronaldo is still at it though.

yep - I reckon the time has come to start saying that Newc are clearly a decent side, and it's more than just a good run &/or luck running with them.

But all the same I can't quite believe it, and a part of me expects them to start tumbling down the league. The next four games will say if that's going to happen or not.

That’s the rep that sort of player gets though. Ronaldo is always accused of diving, even when hes legitimately fouled but considering the amount of times hes gone down to win a free he has no right to complain. Same for Drogba, Nani and the boy who cried wolf.

Suarez isn’t as much of a diver as he is an exaggerator. The slightest touch has him screaming and rolling around like hes David Busst.

Haven't, will do now.

Disparaging? No.

A comment to highlight that Newcastle fans and the fans of their fellow North East clubs are no more or no less passionate than anywhere else. Hence the comment about the myth that "the North East is a hotbed of football"

A Saturday game at Stoke not on the TV Newcastle would have probably trebled their attendance than that they had the other night. Exactly the same as many other clubs - the games that are hard to get to, are attended by less people.

So, no, not a dig at Newcastle fans, or Sunderland fans come to that.

Again, the above numbers are no different to those of other clubs. My club are taking 6,000 to Coventry this season. We've had 9,000 at Wigan in previous seasons. Leeds have taken 5,000 to away matches 200+ miles away. City have, etc etc.

No one describes East London, Manchester, or Leeds as a "hotbed of football", but the phrase gets turned out by no nothing commentators and repeated ad nauseum by some football supporters who should no better - it's boring, tiresome, and incorrect.

Tits that post ignorant shit boil my piss too. ;)

Classy Chelski fans singing "Anton Ferdinand, you know what you are" last night. Chelski could be in trouble now. Hardly going to help Terrys case either.

Chelsea have historically had just about the biggest racist contingent of any club, so I'm far from surprised.

(yes, I know there's a few others who are or have been worse, but not many).

Shifting a weekend game to a Monday night is complete w*nk though. I'm largely an armchair supporter (I got to around 5 games a season, not all of them involving Newcastle), but it's a complete shitter to travel to. While I like it when our games are on the tele, Monday nights is just needless. Of all the crappy slots games are shifted to for Sky, they're the worst (although Friday nights are pretty bad).

In 1980 SAF wins the SPL with Aberdeen. 31 years later, in 2011 he wins EPL with Man Utd. Can any other coach, in any sport, equal such a span?

An outstanding manager, the greatest ever. Can't believe it's been 25 years since he left us :girlimpossible:

The frustrating thing about the fat, bung taking, negative, hoof ball merchant, is that he gets results.

Absolutely battered by Hull today, Green pulled off save after save, easily MoM, yet we come back down the A1 with the three points.

Glad to see swansea continuing their good early season form, I think it would do the welsh national side a lot of good to have more young welsh players in the premiership. Also impressed by citys resiliance coming from behind. I suspect the bottom of the table will end up being more exciting than the top, there are probably 12 contenders for relegation.

    • I've been told beer will be cheaper until 6pm. Anyone can confirm?   Not like i'll drink more than 1-2 in 38 C degrees.
    • This!   Biffy Clyro I don't think would ever get asked, I just don't think it us their scene and it certainly wouldn't be a wise move for them after how the Finsbury Park show went. If they ever had a chance of regaining or staying a bit higher up taking Slam Dunk isn't how you do it. For the cost of it now I think being into the main headliner does make a difference though.
    • Sabrina I actually think is alright, but as an overall thing including Fontaines in the mix it does look very boring.
    • I went to the O2 show as had cheap NHS tickets. I did love the whole Machine Gun Kelly vs MGK Emo/Pop Punk stuff amusing and could see that show going down well. I thought it was so funny watching the video skits of a die hard old skool fan gradually morphing in to an Emo Kid. That show with less old Machine Gun Kelly tunes and more MGK Pop-Punk would be ace.   Pair him against a heavy act on the other stage and jobs a goodun,
    • Not sure if this is allowed, but I have an additional daily ticket which I’m willing to sell for a heavily reduced price. If you, or someone you know wants to go that day, but wouldn’t for the original price, let me know.    Edit: It’s for Friday
