i agree. vdv's recent return from playing as a 2nd striker of 6 in 6 is shocking work, i expect at least 10 in 6

you know what I mean. If the likes of Gerrard takes a more forward role for some games, he's not regarded as a striker either.

At some point the scoring of the likes of VDV and Bale will drop off, and unless your three main recognised strikers start banging them in then, you'll start dropping points. And I can't see them banging them in.

But it was much the same last season too, and Spurs did OK. So perhaps you might be right, but then again you had no real competition from Liverpool for half that season. I'm not expecting that end-of-season form from Liverpool all of this season, but I'm expecting a better season overall.

As for whether the likes of Carroll and Henderson have been stupidly over-priced only time will tell - tho it's defo not looking good for Carroll at that price; Henderson will be clearer a year from now. All the same, I expect Carroll's goals-per-game to increase, cos (perhaps-dodgy accuracy aside) he's still had a bit of luck run against him.

I agree. I've thought he's been pretty awful on the right, and noticeably better when he's occasionally been moved inside.

I disagree, there isnt much of a difference between liverpool, chelsea, spurs or arsenal. I think if each team had all their players fit and available and had equal luck then liverpool would finish 6th, however the margins are so small that suspensions, injuries and luck will play a major role. I think chelsea could absorb the loss of any player but liverpool without suarez or arsneal without rvp would be very significant.

On a different subject entirely, have people heard that Man Utd are being accused of 'slavery' yet again?

It must be a right bastard to be a professional player at that club, what with it being one of the best in the world and getting tens of thousands each week just to sit on your arse. Oh, how my heart bleeds.

Ramsay hasd gone up a notch, but I was thinking particularly Vermealen and Wilshire, and Diaby too.

I don't doubt it. Taking any of the better players out of most teams would make a big difference, cos the back-up is often short of being at the same standard.

That sort of thing doesn't make much difference at Spurs tho. Whichever of your strikers you play they still fail to score (last weekend excepted).

at the mo, he's the most valuable player in the league, i simply couldnt price on him currently - he's so important to them

liverpool are still carrying far too much timber, ARSEnal too much inexperience and abu diaby

chelsea and my club have game changers on their benches, big difference - and chelsea will spend large in january if they are in anyway challenged for the top 4

What gamechangers are on the Spurs bench? Defoe? Kranjcar? Pienaar? Defoe's been shocking all year apart from the cameo against us. Kranjcar's good, but the same type of player as Modric and not as good. Pienaar's just a good utility man, Arsenal got the better Everton player. I don't see much difference between the 3 sets of back-up players, if anything I'd say Arsenal have the edge.

I totally agree with Tugger regarding Van Persie, without him we'd have been screwed this season. If (and it's a big if) he stays fit until christmas then we've got a chance as, we must be planning on bringing in another striker. Options without him are grim to say the least. In midfield though we're now starting to look much better. With Wilshere back then things are very positive. All ifs and buts though, for now just pleased that they're showing a bit of form and consistency.

PT - you really must elaborate on that last point regarding Chamak (sp). Taking it at face value it's more stupid than any single comment I've ever seen regarding football on this site.

I could quite easily name 50 worse strikers to have played in the PL. I could name more than 10 PL strikers that have played for my own club...

So please elaborate, your points are usually well made even if I don't always agree with them.
