Imagine on line up day if they announced the Headliners as The Eagles, Celine Dion and Bon Jovi subbed by Beadyeye,ZZ Top and Onesie Direction.

There would be a mini eartquake as peoples jaws hit the floor all saying i never saw any of that coming.

As i can see there being several surprises with all the secrecy surrounding this years festival.

Less hilarious than Madonna headlining. Don't mind it it being knocked back as less likely, merely offering a suggestion, rather than being an obnoxious c**t like some smug pricks with a fondness for punctuation impact.

I'd like to see the Editors or PIL headline the JP on the Friday to give me an alternative to the Arctics. I thought the Editors did a really good job in 2010 on the Other but it was about 5pm, i'd like to see them in the JP tent, i think they'd have it jumping. Although i doubt that will happen i'd still like to see it.

Perhaps true, maybe headline Other, but havn't they done that already? I have a 65 min compilation of thier best bits ( IMO :) ) , perhaps they might even headline the Pyramid one day........ ? Or is that Indie landfil ;) , besides if the Arctics can do it why can't they?

True perhaps their buzz has gone a tad, but you could say the same about the Arctics surely? They are friends of the festival though, and these bands, individuals tend to pop up further up the bill than you would expect occasional. Perhaps they need to release another successful album to get some buzz again, whether Tom has it in him we'll have to wait and see. But for me this yeat i still think they've enough about them to do a cracking headline set.

Surprised nobody mentioned the elephant in the room! The xx headlining pukkelpop. I didn't think they were headline material yet. Considering they have got NIN and The Prodigy on the line up as well

Wasn't to long ago discussing Glasto asking smaller bands for the Sunday.

no way will The xx've even been considered to headline Glasto. it'd be ridiculous. although i'd say them headlining Other is quite likely. is quite weird that they're headlining Pukkelpop, though. i know they're on a constant rise up but i didn't think they'd be headlining major festivals any time soon
