They were on Radio 1 last night and when asked directly "Are you playing Glastonbury?" they just didn't/refused to answer and then the interview ended abruptly. Which would have been exciting if I cared about them playing in the slightest. I really, really hope they don't headline

I dont know if this has been mentioned but is it possible that Kasabian are the back-up headliner for Rolling Stones just in case they pull out and so thats why serge knows they are playing?

I don't quite believe it.. But do you really think they can't find anybody better than Mumford for the Sunday? Come on closing the festival with a bang is hardly a Mumford style!

the closer it gets to the festival / lineup day, the more ridiculous it's seeming to me that Mumfords would be anything BUT headliners. if it turns out that they are subbing the Stones and we have another third headliner (Kanye for example) i'll find it pretty weird, considering Mumfords are arguably a bigger pull than any other act (bar Prince/Bowie/the unattainable) they could get to headline the Sunday (this year, at least)

most people on here may think it's a pathetic way to end the festival, but for an awful lot of people it'll be perfect

Then that would mean that the Stones are not lined up for the Saturday more likely the Sunday - as if Kasabian are the back-up they can't be at Hard Rock Calling and Glastonbury on 29 June 2013.

That could potentially be VERY clever - not that they are the back-up, but maybe WERE the back-up and Stones are nailed on, allowing Kasabian to headline HRC.
