2013 Headliners

I don't like Promised Land and Prove it All Night off Darkness. Both of which didn't go down well at Glasto really. They're piss/bar songs at Boss shows when I go. And Badlands is a bit "Born To Run Part 2" for me. Although I love the middle 8.

Anyway, I like Darkness, but its my least favourite of all his albums up to and including BITUSA. Apart from the production on most of The River.

It's definitely my favourite, but I don't think it tails off onto the second side either. The one-two of racing In The Street and The Promised Land is maybe his greatest moment, I'd say.

In comparison, TWTI&TESS has a few clunkers and the first album is promising at best.

Yup - I also happen to like Prove It All Night as well! For me it's Something in the Night that's the (relative) weakest link - he get's a bit bellowy on it.

As for The River, Sherry Darling's my favourite song there, so your mileage may vary as to whether you now think I'm crackers.

I'm not going to 100% believe neil on this one. You can call me gullible but it's not JUST the daily star who have reported this. They wouldn't just make this up, they would have to have heard something from somewhere...

yep, Freddie Starr REALLY DID eat that hamster, the cruel bastard. It wasn't a made up story at all.

Care to show me any story that isn't a story that's been written off what the Star have reported?

And if the Star is correct with this, was it also correct with Rihanna too, and there's lots of headliners this year, maybe 50 of them?

And my sentence related to that how?

The rihanna one wasn't "made up" a source told them, and obviously that source was wrong. They didn't just sit at a table and think "Hey, today lets fool the nation to believe rihanna's headlining glastonbury". They were told by a dipshit who wanted to create news. Now you could say that someone without any knowledge told them this time! But we have nothing to prove that that's the case.

They have been right with certain glasto things in the past, so i'm not just going to rule this out completely.

is that what you think?

you're right of course. They never make stuff up because they have a deadline to hit with content that sounds good so that their boss is impressed so they keep their job.

yep, they defo sometimes do get good info. This isn't one of them tho.

They could, by chance, be right about Prince. But it would be only chance and not because there was substance behind this story.
