I dont think I'm expressing myself very well, so I apologise for that.

Foo fighters, snow patrol, stereophonics...It's the musical equivalent of reading the Twilight books. I cant fathom why people read that trash when there is a plethora of amazing books out there.

I look down on those people too.

I'm aware the problem is all mine and not yours. In a way I wish I could live in your simplistic, blissfully ignorant world.

I mean no offence.

Cheers Neil, I'll pay it no further attention then for now.

Ahhhh Russy, a true relic of a bygone age, it's quite sweet really, you do make me smile. To say you hate the tories, you have no problem in expressing your distaste for those you judge musically inferior to your own views. Not much correlation I know, but still, live and let live, there's no need to look down on people or think them simple because they like genres of music or literature you don't like. I can guarantee there will be people much more intelligent than you or I will ever be who love cheesy chart pop.

You sir are a snob but you do amuse me.

Russy must have the biggest fishing rod on here, the way he reels people in is unreal. Ive never made it to a Glasto efests meet, is he this opionated in person ?

I bet he types most of this stuff giggling with a huge smile on his face just waiting for the bites.

Song for the Dead is pretty sweet. Albeit played in a very John Bonham style, bordering on parody as I said. Actually parody sounds too negative. Mimicry is a better description. But all of the album has really solid drums on it.

But that my point about his style. Hes very loud. Smash smash. And it stands out. He has his own style, no doubts. You immediately know its him.

But Taylor is a better drummer for me, in the Buddy Rich sense. As are most famous hard rock/metal drummers like Vinnie Paul, Igor Caverlera, Mike Bordin etc. And Brann Dailor as Wooderson said.

I don't understand how there is a positive reaction to Kanye.

He is a tool, I heard his Secret Garden set tanked, and he likes to play *****as in Paris a dozen times at the end of a set.

If they're seriously thinking about putting Kanye there, just save the money and promote Nas.

    • Considering how popular of a booking Scooter have been I think they'd go down well
    • I mean I think unless you are camped in a particular bit which apparently you just get no sleep i feel it would be better setup to travel in from a hotel each day and back. Ah there is so many downfalls to it for me, I think the Download main stage area is so much better and that's coming from me. If you're camped in green to go round all the time and out for lidl and even water is stupid!
    • Did you camp or go for a hotel? I looked into it briefly and seems easy enough to get back to Nuremberg.
    • Been last time in 2018 when the festival was happening in parque Bela vista. ls the new location good for such a big festival? What's the temperature in the evening near Tejo? Should we bring a raincoat or a jacket?
