Just had my 1st look at the T lineup for this year - Mumford and bums, Killers, Rihanna as headliners. I reckon we could see one of those. 2010, Glasto and T both had Muse, 2011 - they both had coldplay. Not a strong reasoning behind it but they do tend to share at least one headline act.

Mumford are definitely 100% playing, it just depends whether as sub to the Stones or as headliners.

Personally I think they are currently booked to sub the Stones but will end up headlining the Sunday.

I'm still placing all my faith in Prince headlining Sunday, Mumfords are not whats required ffs, their brit performance was terrible.

I dont get it people, lets stop trying to put a positive slant on them potentially closing the

festival, if they do it'll be sh1t - you all know it.

If not Prince then Justin Timberlake (things I never thought I 'd say). His performance the other night was great, full of life and genuinely entertaining :)

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Prince headline. Christ, I'd actually love to see JT play (not sure about headlining) I'm just saying that Mumfords are definitely playing.

Having said that, I don't get all the vitriolic hate for them. Every time they've played before they've gone down a storm, they're a British band that loves the festival and the festival loves

them. There's far worse being mentioned as potential headliner - that total knob end Kanye West for starters!!

I would possibly see Kanye as I really liked his first one and a half albums and my eighteen year old self would probably not forgive me if I didn't catch him. Having said that, I haven't enjoyed his musical output since then. I highly doubt I'd see Mumford but who knows? It's happened before that I have no intention of being somewhere and for some bizarre reason I end up in front of the very stage.

Either way, I'm indifferent to either of them getting the nod. Fair enough if they do.

    • I agree the prices are tough for locals. You can see if Porto timetable is the type that works for you and it's a terrific city. Also cheaper. https://www.primaverasound.com/es/porto/lineup-porto
    • thanks XXialac! i guess for us the most important aspect will be a festival that starts very late in the day, specially in these southern countries were it can be really hot! The combination of visiting a new city, having good lunches and enjoying a festival is a absolute must for us. Also, we like headliners but the undercard is just as important; truly enjoyed Men I trust, NewDad, Big Thief this year so from that angle it is not really a big thing if a festival is somewhat smaller.    Apparently my bad, i had 5 in my system but 0.5 (10%) increase is still huge. I am not sure how teenagers can afford these prices............
    • That second part was how I felt about Rock IM Park this year trying first. I found that when it gets to like the 3rd act on the main stage down, you've gotta make a choice to miss anything leading up might not enjoy and it's sometimes while closer for not a great view as everyone in turn has to make the call too. Being short doesn't help as I'd just be able be further bacm but still see.
    • I wasn’t slagging Scooter off, they are undeniably silly. As I said, they are the definition of a meme booking for Download. People requested them for years because it was silly.
