i think he's in the same category as Kanye in that he could probably comfortably headline and sub and people wouldn't raise and eyelid at either. he'd be an incredible sub but also a pretty good headliner (despite what the people on this forum say!)

i've watched his Madison Square Garden performance a ridiculous amount of times and it's so good. puts on such a show! it's not ridiculously unlikely that he'll be there - subbing the Stones would make sense - so fingers crossed!

After a boring might in work came up with these as the most likely headliners and subs/other stages hl

Headlines

Rolling Stones

Fleetwood Mac

Kings of Leon

Lady Gaga

Adele (could go in either category)

Radiohead

Bowie (though I expect him to do a secret set)

Subs/potential headliners for other stages

Noely Gs Birds

Just noticed a couple of interesting tweets regarding an interview with Eavis today....

Michael Eavis is teasing us about #glastonburylineup. Won't reveal headliners but sayscurrent rumours circulating are good...

Michael Eavis says #glastonbury has dream line-up this year... We think must be #rollingstones + he has a dream back up headline list...

    • 2 really good albums IMO. Fun, really good musicians, energetic, can dance to it.    I'd take that over the couple of dozen twee ernest singer songwriter 2 chord dross acts on the bill most years.
    • They will have strictly 14 days to comply, at the end of which they will strictly have another 14 days to comply.
    • Bonobo has a new album out in September.  Touring the US the end of this year, so hopefully UK dates and festivals in 2027.  Would make a superb Park headliner.
    • I was following up to pink_triangle's post about what Reform are saying they will do to find money for defence spending.   But with Labour, they may well water down or delay some of the net zero commitments, they may find ways to cut welfare spending with Pat McFadden's welfare review thing, but I don't think it's going to be near enough. They really tied themselves down with the tax commitments in their manifesto, just reversing Hunt's NI cuts would have gone a long way. Under Burnham I think they may try and reform some of the tax system, land taxes and levies etc. Certainly needs reforming. But that might all be after a general election if Labour were to win.  I reckon they will try and do something with fiscal rules to borrow more, and try and persuade markets to go along with them.  (and he's already rowed back on that waspi thing...I think his team and others in Labour had a word).
