I think that if anything Dizzee has really gone down in popularity since the last time he did shows and had an album out, I think he as missed his chance to headline one of the traditional large festivals, his new stuff is dreadful too, even more so than the tripe he was peddling on his last album. If his album flops I just can't see it

Where have the Jay-Z/Kanye rumours gone as the third headliner? With the success of WTT, Jay-Z headlining a few years ago and Beyonce headlining in 2011 I could see them being a strong contender next to Gaga - and plus, whether you like them or not, they'd put on a good show!

Awe imagine:

Arctic Monkeys

Biffy Clyro

The Libertines

The Rolling Stones

Smashing Pumpkins

Soundgarden

Deftones

Lady Gaga

Daft Punk

Thirty Seconds To Mars

This would be my dream subbers to the predicted headliners.

I think:

Arctic Monkeys

The Libertines

Franz Ferdinand

The Rolling Stones

Jack White

The Vaccines

Lady Gaga

Chase and Status

Dizzee Rascal

I think Dizzee would be a bit of a gamble, because if his new album is a smash hit then it'll turn out good and if his new album sucks then it might go the other way.

But I definitely think someone's going to take that gamble on him. Would not surprise me to see him at Glasto (Or R+L) this year taking a headline slot.

Neil by 3rd headliner do you mean The Stones, as in 2 headliners have already been booked (Arctic and someone else)

Or do you mean the 3rd headline as in Arctic, Stones and a 3rd headliner that hasnt been asked asked (so in reality only 1 headliner has been booked so far)

I mean that Arctics are probably the first headliner.

I mean that the Stones are possibly the 2nd headliner.

And I mean that someone else will be the 3rd headliner.

Reading between the lines - I guess the Stones were asked to headline Coachella - but had to make the decision within the last couple of weeks. They didn't make the decision - hence Coachella looking elsewhere (RHCP??) and Mick announcing it's too early. This would fit with no decision being made for Glastonbury yet. Maybe Michael is happy with someone secured to sub the Stones being bumped to headline if the Stones pull out.

    • We don't have any choice but I don't need a t-shirt for it! 🙂    On the bright side, it gets it out of the way for a nice 5 year run... notwithstanding wars, new contagious diseases and apocalypse.

    • More O2 December dates gone and still no Paul McCartney shows announced
    • Quick question. Rather enjoyed the Rhubarb Cider from the bars. I know Thatchers did the pump ciders but who made the Rhubarb Cider?
    • Top 5 acts of the weekend for me: 1. The Cure 2. my bloody valentine  3. caroline 4. Father John Misty 5. Big Thief   Biggest disappointments: - Slowdive (the mixing/sound just wasn’t right, and that was about 20 rows from the front of the stage) - The xx (also too quiet and marred by talkers who had no interest in the music)    Positives from an organisational sense: - extra water point at Mordor this year - handing out ponchos before the rain and ear plugs before mbv    However…two of the water points had ran out on Saturday evening, which is completely unacceptable when you stop people from bringing in large bottles of water, and charge €4.50 at the bars for a 330ml can
