U2 might not be at Glasto!

Im still unsure of the dates here, they've only left 4 days in between the two gigs in America to get to Glasto, do the gig and get back. The gig on the 26th is in Michigan. Its an 8 hour flight from London. Theyre pushing it big time.

Are people forgetting that Emily Eavis has already stated that all three headliners and signed, deals are already done?

Could it not be that:

1. They've agreed to play.

2. They're still discussing staging/ set up times etc.

3. They've agreed to wont be announced until this is all settled. The view being if they announce it then negotiations break down and one side or t'other pulls out - Eavis doesnt look like a plonker and U2 don't look like complete Divas for pulling out 2 years in a row (Yeah I know there as a good reason they couldnt do it last year - but if they did it again it would be a shitty headline).

Michael said that last September in literally in the same interview then said "we trying to sign the best bands to headline" or summat.

Was the timescale for getting to England and back to America not similar last year?

They might be. They might not. Guess we won't know until they announce it.

I'd probably go along with what efestivals said about keeping it back till after the resale to save on a deluge of U2 fans trying to get tickets

gotta say itd be a major shock after this amount of time if they were announced as not playing, Im sure a deal will or has already been ironed out between them

in Q it definitely says that elbow are playing beneath U2 this year too. Strange it's taking so long but pretty sure it's a-happening

Personally I just think that they have not yet signed on the dotted line.

And thats the differnce between U2 and Coldplay and Beyonce !

Nowt to do with resale , or holding back etc , they just aint signed the form !

i suppose circumstances change all the time so who's to know. Remember the June issue of q having bono on the cover last year for playing glastonbury and u2 withdrew just before it came out on sale, but too late to change it.

TBH, its hardly as if Bono et al will be queuing up like the rest of us at the airport. Hop on a private jet, land at Brizzol, 'copter to site. Done.

I love Radiohead but I am starting to see the "fanboy" stereotype everywhere.

Do we really think U2 won't play now? After last year's 'almost played' debacle and the snippets from the Eavii? It's going to happen unless there is another very good reason (like a back injury) to prevent it.
