personally i think she's gonna have to change her set a bit for glasto. i'm hoping that hubby's experience (and his inclusion of some classics in his set) will guide her somewhat. you just want her to remember "this is glastonberry, this isn't my gig".

I can see this being spun out as another tedious Jay-Z-type thing, the whole "can Beyonce prove all the doubters wrong" type thing, with Zane Lowe and some other twat going on and on and on about it on the TV coverage.

I don't think the headliners will announced for a while yet.

This info is quite old now for something that can change quickly - so don't hold it against me if it's wrong - but I believe that there's a bunch of Bouncy's own dates for June/July in the UK to be announced, and I'd expect those to be announced for around 2 weeks at a minimum before Glasto is confirmed.

As with the coldplay thread, lots of people saying how big they are/she is but not many actually enthusing about them playing.

But we're not the typical Glasto crowd here, that's all it is - along with the recognition of the reality.

Like it or not Coldplay and Beyonce have massive appeal to the pop-centric audience that makes up the majority of Glasto goers.

Wait, dont tell me she will clash with Pulp :(??

I don't think she will.

My belief is that Pulp were going to play before the Sunday headliner - but it was going to be a different headliner. It's possible that they've moved to the same slot on the Saturday cos that's where bouncy was originally set for.

Probably something like:

Single Ladies

Ego (Song she did with Kanye West)

Halo

If I Were A Boy

Sweet Dreams

Irreplacable (The 'to the left to the left' song

Crazy In Love

Telephone (Song she did with Gaga)

Survivor (Destiny's Child)

Bootylicious (Destiny's Child)

Lose My Breath (Destiny's Child)

Bonnie & Clyde (with Jay Z)

It's pretty clear, that she's going to need Jay Z (think 99 Problems might be the funniest thing if Beyonce is headlining)

I'm no expert on this but since the artists that Jay Z works with are pretty interchangable, and being married to Beyonce, doesnt that mean that she can just do the Jay Z songs and sing the female vocals so 'Run This Town' (Jay Z, Rihanna, Kanye) 'Empire State of Mind' (Jay Z, Alicia Keys)

I'd imagine her set at Glasto would be very different to that. She'd do at least 4 Destinys Child songs and i'd think she'd do a few covers as well.

I'd imagine she'll play for an hour and a half and would have the following (in no particular order):-

Baby Boy

Naughty Girl

Ave Maria

Hello

Irreplaceable

Deja Vu

If I Were a Boy

Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)

Halo

Crazy in Love (With Jay-Z)

Bonnie & Clyde (With Jay-Z)

Bootilicous

Independent Women

Jumpin Jumpin

Say My Name

My guess is that we won't see Jay-Z on stage with her.

If he did that it would over-shadow her own big moment. If they weren't a couple then I'd be less of the opinion that he won't join her, but as it's his missus is he really going to blow her biggest moment by all the talk being about him and not her? I can't see it myself.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
