Yeah, but you all have a listen don't you, you all will have a watch and form an opinion and feel a need to express it here.

1. it's impossible to not hear the squawking if you turn on a radio.

2. I watch lots of acts live to check them out.

3. because I've properly checked a act out I can form an informed opinion.

4. that opinion might be expressed, particularly when so many are in need of hearing tests.

Yep, Jessie J is such an outstanding talent....

It's only the haters who'd ask if this was the worst cover version in history, and suggest that Jessie J was attempting to sing every note in the scale plus are few that aren't.

Your ears are lying to you if you hear anything but the sweetest sounds.

This was a really bad version i have to say. thing about Jessie J is, it's not the fact that she;'s the greatest singer. I liked her stuff for the voice she had for the songs. I can't imagine those songs sang different and I think it is known that for her voice to work, she needs that, although with her most recent work, you see where idea's have started to run out etc.

I literally watched 3 seconds of that - Will.I.am's opening, and yes, I suspect it remains truly dreadful. With very few exceptions, all the great musicians I love produce howlers. Ever see Neil Young with his Harpsichord or God help us Bowie and Jagger Dancing in the Street?

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
