It would be nice to have Underworld finally back at Glasto. The last time they played was in the 20th century!!! <_<

i was just going to post the same question. who ever goes up against U2 will have to be a big draw which underworld probably aren't.

I believe that there were some issues last year at various stages with bands not wanting to be up against U2, but I might be wrong about that.

Anyhow, while U2 are hugely popular, they're also not everyone's bag - so I'm sure there'll be plenty of folk wanting something else to watch instead. By putting something on that's very different to U2 - which Underworld are, but Primal Scream are less so - then I reckon it's more likely to attract some people who might otherwise watch U2.

(just so it's clear, I don't know for sure that Underworld are up against U2. I'm just laying out the idea I think they work to).

    • Nearly half owed to UK pension funds and banks, a third to foreign investors and the rest to the Bank of England.  We can say we won't pay the interest or the loans back but who would lend us 100 billion again next year? The Bank of England are selling their portion  at the moment which I read is making things worse so we should tell them to stop but I don't really understand why that is.
    • Gotta be worth a bump for old times sake
    • Let's hope you're right - having secret set by Olivia Rodrigo would be huge. It might even overshadow the Thursday trainwreck.   We'll see in a couple of hours.
    • Yet again we’re missing the WH Sunday reggae slot
    • Occident has got larger over the years and there's relatively little overlap with mbv and OR fans that I think it would work fine as it would divide the crowd so effectively.   They don't even need to give the biggest stage from an optics perspective either, this would be billed as a secret short set and used to promote her new album.
