at Glastonbury it was Blur with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds a close second.

overall for the year it was either Them Crooked Vultures at the Hammersmith Apollo or Masters of Reality at the Garage in Islington.

Nell Young, followed very closely by Steve Hillage, closely followed by a group of youngsters from Soweto in a tent somewhere.

It rained in the morning, and cleared up in the afternoon.

John Otway (always good fun)

Bill Wyman's Rythmn Kings (wonderful singer Beverly Skeete)

Jefferson Starship (still going strong)

The Destroyers (probably my discovery of the year)

Richard Thompson (pure class)

Racing Cars (final performance of a great band)

Joan Baez

Roger McGuinn (Glasto)

i'm an occasional sneaky weeper at special gigs but i full-on bawled and gulped at points during their set. then my friend said "look!" and pointed to the screen and damon was having a sob which started me off again.

Nope. Was convinced it was a huge conspiracy just for us at Glastonbury cos we had been waiting forever for such an event to occur.

You dont go to Glasto for the past 15 or whatever years and actually BELIEVE the rumours that go round.

I mean when THIS headline then graced the front of the Guardian too...what could you do but be suspicious anyway!!!

We stuck that headline to our t-shirts and wore them with pride.

Bon Iver (Sat) - one of my favourite Glasto sets for years

Doves - Obviously

gig wise.....

Blur (Hyde Park) - incredible to have one more chance to see them, they were awesom and must have been doubly so at Glasto

Doves (Electric Proms) - even MORE obviously, their best gig ever, and therfore one of my top 5, easy!!
