For me it was Madness, partly because I'd seen The Specials about 3 weeks before, but partly because they've been owed a Pyramid slot for years. Proper national treasure them.

Despite not really being a fan, I'd say Blur's set was pretty damn impressive. :P

Glasto 2009 for me was probably Crosby Stliis & Nash, quality quality set.

Non-Glast would probably be either Spiritualized doing Ladies & Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space or Laurie Anderson & Lou Reed.

Probably Neil Young, Kasabian or Bruce. The Specials were amazing too, check out the weather!

Pimping this video out because I uploaded it but also because it brings me right back :P Haven't seen any BBC footage of their set on youtube so thought it needed some, rest of the set should be up within the next day or two

Blur, definitely. Suddenly I was 15 again. I was with my little sister and she was quite embarrassed by the amount of insane bouncing going on, she kept telling me "everyone will think you're on drugs" (?!?). But I was high on Blur (she's so high)!

However, a close second was a tiny, random, totally unpublicised set by the Futureheads that I stumbled across on my way to see Badly Drawn Boy. They were playing one of those political type stages off the side of a caravan out in the fringe somewhere. As I walked past I thought 'that band with about 25 people watching them is playing a cover of 'Decent Days and Night' by the Futureheads'; and then on closer inspection I was like '**** me that *is* the Futureheads'. The band were in great form and the teeny crowd were loving it - awesome!

Difficult because being the first year i did a lot of exploring, a lot of drinking and only really saw about 10 bands, i was sick on Saturday ( over indulgence on Friday night ) and missed the start up to around 3/4pm.

I did however, like Richochet, see the Mummers in the Avalon tent on the Sunny Sunday afternoon front of stage , cider in hand, on my own ( my friends had gone off to do their own thing ) , and with a lump in my throat i thought this was the perfect summing up of a great weekend.

It is sad that they probably will not get the acclaim they would have gone on to get after Marks death.

Also saw the Horrors in the park on Friday night and thought they were great.

That was YOU?!?! I'll have it up on youtube in 5 mins...

i think i had my 'Bruce whinge' of '09 at the last ever concert at Giants Stadium in New Jersey (a historic venue for him which they are bulldozing down later this year - he played 24 shows there total from 1985 to 2010, and i saw 6) when I realized my camera was out of battery power before the show had even started coz i had taken too many worthless photos of the pre-gig boozeup in a New Jersey parking lot, and so when Brucey is carried right over the top of my head during Hungry Heart, i have no record of it at all.

my non-Glasto 'memorable act' of '09 was Bruce playing "The River", "Born To Run", and "Born in the USA" albums in full beginning-to-end at separate gigs
