Thanks to all for the congratulations. I know all this love stuff will make you want to puke. If you think that may happen to you, you had probably not better read on.

I'm happy because since I left school I've always been searching for something and never found it. Deep down I really felt unhappy for decades even though I had my family, friends, etc. Now all that searching is over as I've found the thing that I was looking for. I didn't realise that it was going to come in the shape of a soulmate, but it has. I cannot begin to describe how the lifting of that burden of unhappiness feels. There are no words to describe it.

So, yes I have asked Hendricks to marry me. Not only that but we are hoping to get married at a venue a stones throw away from Glastonbury. We drive down to Somerset in two weeks time to see if they will accept us having our marriage there.

Sorry if the above has made you feel queasy.

I've had a really shitty week. You've just given me something to be smiley about. It is not sickening - it's great and lovely. Hope you find and organise your venue and hope it is everything you want it to be. All I can wish for you is that you are always as happy as you are today or on the grumpy days you can remember how this feels.

Appreciated by both of us. Thanks mandolin.

lol

Yeah its got a bit of a false reputation as being a womens (not there is anything wrong with women buying such a fuck awesome car :P ) / hairdressers car with some of the uninformed who drive around in their Civics and Corsas all day ... :P

I don't care though as the people with that opinion have almost certainly never driven one of the beasts :) Its fucking nuts around country roads :D Took one for a test drive over the weekend and loved it. Just got to find the right one now.

They are good cars, was only joking! Your not going through a midlife crisis though are you Barry? ;)

Just received a letter of acceptance from the Royal Navy for me joining the subs! :dancer:

Join the Navy and not see the world then.

I'm happy because my first festival tickets of the season for Wychwood arrived yesterday. Nothing like the excitement of when Glastonbury tickets arrive but still a cheery sign that Summer might be around the corner.

Going marching this afternoon in support of Stafford Hospital to voice our opposition to the proposed cuts to services (maternity, a&e, intensive care and more). Thousands expected, beautiful day, will be great to see the community come together.

If my sole reason for joining was travel I would have joined the surface fleet, as it is not meh :)

It was! Certainly sounds like at least 30,000 and some reporting up to 50k. Great atmosphere. Bishop of Stafford gave an excellent speech and even the local Tory MPs were there speaking out against the cuts. Will see what comes of it. Are you local?
