Things that ur happy about

but they're very obviously trying to stitch people up who renew without challenging them on the price.

The AA do this to me every year. I just ring up and ask for the Retentions Department and talk to them. I then give them a figure I have received from one of their competitiors and they drop the price straight away. It's worth ringing up and questioning the renewal cost of anything nowadays. The consummer champion Martin Lewis repeatedly bangs on that consummer loyalty no longer pays in today's day and age.

Pretty well finished the construction of our team's new boules piste today, having shifted and leveled another 10 tonnes of quarter to dust (the top surface) and finished the surround. Had to build a new piste (pitch) because our home until now, a pub in the village has closed.

Village Pump Festival Tickets arrived and two old friends have come up from Dorset for the weekend.

Results all round.

Congrats george, hard work starts now and its all worth while. Just remember to get her a baby man utd top....

Things I'm happy about? April. :)

Increased site traffic with the Glasto announcement so you can afford a nicer cut of meat? :P

This joke made me smile tonight on what had been a shitty day. Hope you enjoy it.

Nice one. I'm surprised they attempted to find out some facts though before publishing an article. Not usually their modus operandi.

Trouble is half the rubbish that gets published is because people who could give them decent information refuse to.

Think I'm getting a new (well not new, another) car. My beloved Saab 9000 which has done me proud and got through the muddiest festival fields has now reached 197,000 miles so it's time for something that, hopefully, will be reliable and less expensive to maintain.

Should be picking up a Honda Accord Estate with only 60,000 miles on the clock in Bristol next week.

last night in this house before we move into our new place. Daughters first few years have been here, gone blind in one eye here, marriage, death, heartache, good times, bad times....been a roller coaster for 5 years.

Quite sad really...getting all emotional lol.

Got myself a new car today. Sally the Saab was really reaching the end of her life with 197,000 miles on the clock. She's now been replaced by Henry Honda, a 2005 Honda Accord Estate that's only done a mere 58,000 miles.

Lots of electronic gizmos to get used to but should tow the caravan with ease - once I've forked out £400 for a towbar and fittings!

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
