Broadchurch series 2 has been great so far

2 great episodes so far.. hope it continues as it is!

Much better than the first series, I think. It got pretty good towards the end, but the first few episodes were a bit of a drag. Really enjoying it this time.

I really need to get into watching more of the acclaimed american dramas. Only currently running one I've seen is The Walking Dead (up to series four), which I love. Other than that I tend to just do Peep Show repeatedly, which is a nice way to live.

Not seen Breaking Bad then? Sopranos? Wire? True Detective? Mad Men? etc etc

Wow - you've got some cool TV to watch if you're up for it. Biggest problem would be where to start

Seen Breaking Bad, which was really good, and The Sopranos, which is my favourite thing, film or TV, ever. Also The Shield not far behind, which is brilliant. By 'currently running' I meant still in production, or until very recently anyway. So not seen an episode of Game Of Thrones, Mad Men, True Detective, pretty much everything else.

Edit: I love Orange Is The New black as well, forgot about that. So I guess I've seen a couple. Still a bit behind though.

Aaah right - my bad didnt read your post properly

Must admit - no interest in GOT at all though thats just not my kind of thing. Just last night finished True Detective for the second time which I absolutely loved and would absolutely recommend. Watched it with Veep as the antidote (to lighten up) which makes me laugh out loud.

it was a terrific stand alone series that should be left as it is, not watered down with re-visits. Sometimes one series is the best way to go

I absolutely get that. We'll see - must admit I'm intrigued what they'll do with Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn. Both of them produced loads of crap stuff at times - but theres something about the idea of them two perks my interest. Only time will tell.

Just been watching Season 1 of Sons of Anarchy. It's brilliant. Trudging through Season 5 of Community as well. Not great but I'm still quite enjoying it. And Parks and Rec season 2. Loving it.

I'm obsessing with Parks and Rec as well at the moment, first season I could take or leave but just started season 3 and it's getting better and better.

12 Monkeys

SyFy

S01E01 (watched)

S01E02 (queued)

Surprisingly good for a SyFy show. Not as good as the film(s), of course, worth a watch.

My complaint is "revealed" within the first five minutes, but still I'll spoiler it out.

One of the joys of 12 Monkeys is Cole could be insane and making his accomplice ever increasingly insane (and thus an unreliable narrator) or he could just be a time-traveller, evidence is presented for each - kind of the point of the film.

In the TV show he's a time traveller. Period. They looked more to Looper than the madhouse (at least for him).

Worth a watch. Coming to the UK end of February or earlier from your usual digital pimp.

True Detective has a chance to do well with a second series. American Horror story does the same thing with each series being self contained and distinct whilst using the same production people and some cast members, some series have been great, some not so good. I'll be interested to see whether it matches the standard of the first.

Is 12 monkeys actually worth watching? I discounted it due to being on SyFy who are usually gash or, at best manage 2 or 3 episodes before it all goes tits up.

I'm rewatching Buffy from the very start.

It's one of those things loads of my mates were into and so I've seen odd episodes all the way through but never really sat and got into. Loving it! :D just at the end of season 2. I second metalimuse's call for no spoilers! ;)

You should have a great time. Season 3 and 7 are phenomenal. 5's a bit crap.

    • I would be very surprised as well if they are are European Festivals and Werchter isn't one of them. They have done Roskilde before but with big gaps   They have done NOS once and they have done Mad Cool once while playing 3 times at Werchter during the period Mad Cool has ran.
    • Whole thing seems a bit sus to me.
    • wtf. Those Moroccons in Cueta can't just go into EU anyway, they would need to go through further checks before Schengen.
