thetime
Arctic Monkeys are far too small to headline in the US, there will be serious doubts about them headlining over here if the next album doesnt sell well.

Daft Punk would seem solid, then Beyonce/Lady Gaga third could be Black Keys or something but I'm really not sure how big bands are in america these days. Ovechkin
Arctics Monkeys are nothing in America, they played fourth down at Coachella last year. They won't be anywhere near the headline slot. Mumford and Sons are headlining Bonnaroo and Lollapolooza this year, which are the second and third biggest festivals in the U.S. Doubt Coachella will have them the year after. The National Daft Punk Pearl Jam
the wonderwhy
Arctics toured with The Black Keys across America last year, which blew them up massively. They won't headline, but they're not exactly small in America, and are a lot bigger than when they played Coachella last year. They would probably sub. Matt42
I do think they will be there! I think I was a little silly putting mumfords in a co headlining slot with monkeys, seeing how mumford are much much bigger! I'd change that to! Mumford & Sons SUBBED by Arctic Monkeys Paul Mccartney *instead of jack white* Daft Punk. I only gave a weak set of headliners because this years is pretty weak for an american festival. I think the Stone Roses and Blur in a coheadline makes it stronger, but they are both pretty much nothing in the US they shouldn't be that high at all (even if they are great bands). Arctics have got bigger in past years, and coachella always makes at least one band headline who isn't really headline worthy, I think the arctics could fill that slot if their new album is a US success which it could be! After all the stuff she's doing with pepsi, beyonce could take a slot! But I don't really think that will happen, too soon after her world tour? Paul Mccartney would be good seeing as bonnaroo have him this year! Daft Punk would just be a nice thought, although I do believe if Daft Punk do ANY festival next year it will be coachella! jadel74
Depeche Mode (apparently already booked) Nine Inch Nails (supposedly already booked) Daft Punk (word has it that they were tentatively booked for this year but backed out a few weeks before the lineup came out because they decided they wouldn't be ready). the wonderwhy
If the dates are similar next year the first weekend would be the week after the 20th anniversary of Kurt's death. I can see them doing something with that... (I'm thinking Foo Fighter maybe?) Personally I'd rather that just leave it be, but its the sort of thing Americans would lap up

jadel74
That's what I've been told. Daft Punk is my speculation, but considering they're consistently the most requested act (unless Radiohead hasn't played in a couple of years), I can't imagine that Goldenvoice won't throw a ton of money at them next year to get them. From what I hear, the other two are done deals.
