Are we assuming all the musical acts on Talking Heads are solo/acoustic? Good few of them usually tour with bands but I dont think Ive ever seen a band on there.

There's room for a small band setup but most likely solo/acoustic (I was disappointed when ex-Girls singer Christopher Owens was put on there last year and seems it was solo)

H Hawkline somehow fit a six piece band on there a couple of years ago.

Be nice if they let us know. Like they did with Ty Segall in 2024 for example.

Love the stage but I've been burned before assuming it was the acts usual band thing only to be stung with a stripped down hear-a-pin-drop whine fest.

But yeah, usually it's solo artists and it mostly looks that way this year, though I know David Thomas Broughton who actually is best on his own is bringing a couple of other musicians.

Me and my pals once went to the stage, feeling most elated and just looking for a little sit down, but there was some kind of unannounced or messed up schedule solo act came on. There was almost no one there and we were just sat there f**ked whispering to each "he's definitely looking at us and he doesn't look happy". We sat there absolutely terrified for about 25 minutes until we got up and genuinely legged it up the hill

Helena Deland had a band in 2019 (pic) Sam Amidon and Sessa were also not solo

Yeah and theres the problem. Once you're in and if its empty like in your case, it becomes awkward.

Greazy Alice for example. Usually a band. But we don't know if thats the case.

People seem to have got obsessed about 'secret sets' at all festivals this year even when there aren't any spaces other than, in EOTR's case, the usual late Folly sets that 90%+ of the time are from artists who are already playing. And if it is someone else, I'm sure it won't be a band who played the festival last year.
