The Prodigy put a message out last week saying big announcement today, which coincidentally is the day we're expecting a Latitude Announcement. Could it be?

I'd see them going down a storm after the success of the FBS set last year. Although not really the same without Keith.

Well the video trailing the big announcement had multiple shots of the National Bowl in Milton Keynes. Dunno if that's a clue but it could be.

Wow that's a great set of names!

Not mad on the headliners but the rest is a very very strong start

Was hoping for something like The xx / The Cure / Massive Attack for the 20th anniversary, so obviously this isn't as good for my tastes.

Fairly disappointing trio of headliners though, thought they might go for someone who feels like a real get like The Killers in 2018. The real get for me is David Byrne though, think he's the best headliner they've booked in years, but I doubt most other Latitude goers see him as the best out of the three.

The Flaming Lips also a great booking, if they're headlining the tent on Saturday or Sunday then to be fair to Latitude, that's two great nights sorted.

The other big names don't excite me as much. Self Esteem, The Last Dinner Party, Tom Grennan, Tom Odell, Wet Leg. They're all some of the easiest acts to see on the circuit, and have played Latitude / Isle of Wight plenty of times. None of them feel like special bookings at all, just sort of stuff you expect to see being passed around every festival in a given year.

There is some decent stuff in the line below though, I particularly think Keo are about to be the next big thing, very Wunderhorse, go and see them while they're still at this size if you can. Dry Cleaning, English Teacher, Just Mustard, Westside Cowboy, I've all seen and would go and see again.

Hopefully more good stuff is to come, will need another good tent headliner to keep me interested, only The Flaming Lips feel like a natural tent headliner out of the names out at the moment. Hope they're on the Saturday as if push came to shove I could see Lewis Capaldi, but I have no interest or knowledge really in Teddy Swims.

All in all, see you down the front Friday night for This Must Be the Place and Once in a Lifetime.

Basically sums up most years at Latitude to be honest! It's a solid start for me, probably already an improvement on this year.

I feel the same, theres a lot more I actually want to see and there will be more additions later

David will be great but not massively worried for TS and LC but we all know the headliners are usually the worst part

Excited to explore some of the other names in there as well

This is waaaaaay better than I thought it would be. I know I guessed loads of acts in the run up but yeah not surprised to see Teddy Swims and Tom Grennen there.

I'm overjoyed that David Byrne is playing, I've got tickets to see him in London so need to think whether I stick or twist with those.

Haven't seen flaming lips for over 20 years so that is going to be awesome. Never seen kevin morby so hyped for that.  Missed Getdown services twice this year so glad to get to see them. Loads of others who I like.

I can definitely vibe with this announcement. My faith has been restored.

This is probably a bit more of an 'old school' Latitude lineup, having a listen through it theres some properly great stuff in there - incredibly excited for Self Esteem, her recent tour looked incredible

Going through the lineup im trying to roughly guess who's on what stage - so far I'm predicting:

Obelisk- confirmed David Byrne, Teddy Swims, Lewis Capaldi, Alex James Britpop

Wet Leg, The Last Dinner Party, Billy Ocean, Tom Grennan, Tom Odell, Vanessa Carlton, Kevin Morby

Tent - Self Esteem, The Flaming Lips, English Teacher, Westside Cowboy, Florence Road, Dry Cleaning

Sunrise/Alcove - Alice Pheobe Lou, Getdown Services, Just Mustard, Keo

I can't lie: A little underwhelmed with the headliners considering it's the 20th anniversary (David Byrne aside). Was hoping for a huge drop. Perhaps that's still coming?

The rest of the bill looks really interesting though.

I was (am still) really hoping that some of my faves from past festivals get announced (Mogwai, New Order, The National, Arcade Fire, M83...)

What other acts are we hoping to appear on the lineup?

I reckon we've got a couple of Obelisk subs and a tent headliner too but theres still plenty to add

Someone like Sparks or Fat Dog in the tent would be a treat and would love if they had some decent names such as Wolf Alice in a special guest slot like Elbow last year
