Possible names for tomorrow:

Twenty One Pilots
Bring Me The Horizon
Jack White
Moby

... Or something random that Covoes hired that will either disappoint a lot or surprise a lot 😂

Think that’s aiming too high and it’ll be a day filler type act

Bring Me the Horizon doesn't seem to fit NOS Alive. I would say more Evil Live booking type. Even Moby, but we never know.

Eu diria que 21 pilotos ainda são possíveis

Ofc it’s possible, but if they have them, why delay the announcement? We had the same discussion last year with Green Day and Linkin Park… people were asking for those bands and they didn’t announce because they were not on the card.

Yeah them holding 21 pilots seems strange, its probably the most requested band on their instagram comments. The band already announced a bunch of european dates so why holding them back? But its covoes....everything is possible😅

Foo fighters are leaving clues for something all over america , could be a world tour announcement tomorrow

Looks like the 9th won’t be particularly be “my” day, so I’ll be looking at a 2 day ticket for the 10/11th.

i definitely think 21P are out. They should have announced them latest today if they were on the card.

The headliner for the 10th must be a name which hasn’t announced their shows yet.

I believe Covoes will cross Nick Cave and Matt at the same time.

The overlap in their audience surely is gargantuous here in Portugal. What makes you say that?

(Not that I'd complain though... Perhaps against the current, I really don't care about Nick Cave)

Because it's already Covoes' habit to do this, I still remember when he crossed Thom York with The Smashing Pumpkins

Tbh I'd wager that he has almost no care in having a vote for this matter, but I think that was a different case. Thom played a longer set than the usual secondary stage set. I doubt Matt will play for 1h30

Pretty decent booking for me. Like The National.

I didn't see the photo, just this comment first and it made me think that The National were going to be playing as opposed to just Matt.

Tbf they're quite big in Portugal, right? Pretty sure they did 3 shows in Lisbon and Porto on their last European tour two years ago.

Lisbon got the same treatment as London. Two shows with unique setlists!

They're my favorite band so it's hard for me to not be biased, but I do believe that for similarly comparable bands in scope they truly are giants here. It's rare for a tour of theirs to miss Portugal. Their last show of that tour, in Lisbon, even broke the their rule of not repeating songs for their back to back nights (with Vanderlyle). The first night was also aired on live national radio, but I can't tell if that's out of the ordinary or not.

All this to say... I'd be VERY surprised if he clashes with Nick

Ah yes I remember. I went to the first of the two London shows on that tour and was genuinely surprised to see the day after had a totally unique set. Was quite impressive.

Yes, I went to the three. They’re big here, but don’t know how much people care about Matt’s solo work.

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
