but are they gonna let it get to iplayer.

I'm guessing no, which is a real bummer.  I managed to find an audio grab of the whole set on reddit though, so not a total loss.

theres probably a torrent that might have the live raw feed as a download. Usually end up on private trackers other than using get iplayer. Glad i saw half of it in person.

Skepta was an almost flawless show, and probably a really hype way to get ready for Charli if you’re there (I think Deftones would have suffered a lot from the whole front crowd waiting for her and texting through it), but why play your biggest hit with the whole crowd singing along… and then close on some album cut nobody knows?

Looking on the webcam he absolutely filled that field, even with the expanded size.  Pyramid field looks a bit sparse still.

Yeah, I'm living vicariously through this forum and reddit whilst being stuck at work instead of at the best party on earth and I've seen some mention of a method of grabbing from the live stream so I'm not giving up hope.  The tracker I use has all the glasto stuff they can lay their hands on so if I manage to get hold of a copy I'll be sure to be of the sharing nature.

I thought 1975 looked a bit sparse on the webcam at this time yesterday. But this is maybe only 25% of even that. It will surely fill in a bit over the next 15 minutes, but looking like it's going to be pretty poorly attended.

is this just bad fit for the modern festival?  Or a result of him being awkward with the BBC, who’ve subsequently acted like Charli is the real place to be on Saturday night?

I imagine 90% do not care who or what the BBC are showing.

Clearly a shift in the demographic, I was surprised John Fogerty got such a small crowd earlier, the old ones (such as me) are becoming a minority, the vast majority of the younger end will be at Charli XCX it would seem.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
