Kinda sounds like we’re heading towards Fender, Fontaines & Harry however I can’t see them not getting a female headliner so think it’ll be Fender or Fontaines and another. They’ll obviously try for Madonna but they’ve also tried before, really depends on whether she’s bothered about it.

I'd be absolutely amazed if they went without a female headliner.

@mufcok could that Fontaines offer and stadium date be 28 instead?

Agree on the female angle. If Madonna, Olivia and Sabrina weren't available, they could still grab Florence back.....obviously that's bearing in mind that she is touring next year. Charli is another option but I just don't think she is at that level and she's just continuously toured she may as well end up doing Glastonbury off of the same your she's headlined other. I honestly thought she wouldn't be about next year.

Obviously this is if the sun knowing anything. But the guy on this seems to be quite sure Fender has leaked....was he just too drunk and messing his words up. I wouldn't go against Fender and Harry and maybe they just don't have a female option for next year.

Personally I'd see Fender, Fontaines and Harry as quite poor but that's because neither bother me personally

Stadium gig/s 100% 2027.

As for the offer - dunno what to think. The source is very well placed and, to me, the timing checks out - I'm basing that on the stadium gigs coming after an arena tour... coming after a new record... following a record that propelled them to the next level.

As I keep saying with any info I've shared for Glastonbury next year, though, none of it feels nailed to me.

I assume that they're doing a half decent job of keeping things quiet (still early, I guess). It's all little bits of stuff doing the rounds in the industry. There's none of it that I'd hang my hat on right now. The bits I've shared - I thought they were worth sharing, given the source. Chat about Madonna, the Fontaines snippet, chat about Fender.

A gun to my head right now - Madonna would still be my number one bet. More of a gut feeling, but I feel like the recent doubt may be the festival and/or her people trying to calm the noise a bit after the Graham Norton slip, rather than a u-turn.

@northernangel Are Wolf Alice not in the conversation? They just did a sold out Finsbury Park to 45,000 people, if they're ever gonna get the push it's now.

Absolutely not, I dont know of it selling out but they needed TFG and Skyvip to shift them. Biffy aren't either and they didn't go to TFG and I wouldn't say Kasabian are either and they sold it out the quickest. Liam Gallagher did Finsbury Park as well and subbed the Pyramid Stage, Noah Kahan did two nights at BST and subbed the Pyramid though that's a rare one. Finsbury itself will definitely not grant you top spot, that field can hold 100k

That's fair. I'm definitely in the camp myself that Fender and Harry are most likely.

Id suggest they would need another new album before they play again - Otherwise the show is going to probably be very similar to the one they played at the last festival.

I see there's yet another article doing the rounds about Madonna doing BST, and not Glastonbury.

That could be right, but given there'll be plenty of tickets to shift for BST, could it not just be false info doing the rounds to protect that?? Not that I think Madonna would struggle to shift tickets, or that Glastonbury would have that much impact, but still - would probably still make sense to protect ticket sales when it's announced?

I think a lot of you guys don't see Tate McRae as headliner material however she was originally billed to play back in 2025 and had to pull out (https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/glastonbury-2025-headliners-revealed-tickets-line-up-1235915362/). She sold out out all of her arena shows in 2025 and just brought in huge crowds at Oshega and Lollapalooza. Given that she's gearing up to release the second album it lines her up for a tour run in her same gap as she's usually over here over Glaso weekend. I wouldn't rule her out.

Gavin Leigh Davis on Instagram, the Fabrizio Romano of tour leaks, says Sam Fender outdoor shows and likely festivals next year. Didn't explicitly mention Glastonbury but adds more to the rumour

Took the words out of my mouth. He never misses.

Definitely adds fuel to the fire.

Surely the chances of Madonna doing three+ nights at BST and also Glastonbury is pretty low? I know Elton did (2?) nights at BST but it seems like it’s one or the other at this point?

A shame. I think she would be absolutely brilliant - plus, unfortunately, given that she isn’t as able as she was means this could be a now or never situation?

That's how I'd see it, either or, 3 BST rules her out.

I’d be incredibly surprised if she was in the headline conversation at all. At best I could say a high Pyramid slot but I reckon maybe Other headliner against a rock act like Fender or even Other sub (where I have her in my predictions). I’d say Gracie Abrams is pulling similar if not better numbers to Tate and she was third down on the Other last year.

Or-and I don’t care either way-she splits her 3 BST nights over two weekends leaving space for Glastonbury (raised eyebrow)

Wow, way to insult the guy.

Haha yeah maybe not the best comparison as Gavin seems a good lad. It was to express how he's usually spot-on with his information

I think there could, repeat COULD, be some truth to this Madonna stuff, re BST and no Glastonbury.

Think it's demands around stage/production stuff.

Interesting that'd be the reason - given that there were reports citing that as the reason a few years ago as well.

You'd think that they (meaning both sides) would learn..

Yeah, shambles if so.

Also a shame for the festival if it's that rather than money.

Sure more will come out in due course. I was (and still am) hoping she'd do it, selfishly.

Ah they did yes, maybe she asked for a lot more than that. Given for example what harry had at Wembley she could have a big stage that juts right out at BST and get mega money for it for 3 nights. She won't get anywhere near that for Glastonbury

Yeah f**k knows at this point.

I did a little bit of digging earlier, and it was more 'on the ropes' than categorically not happening, and the reason been that she's asking for all sorts. I think all sorts is more production based stuff rather than the fee. As I keep saying, though, there's a lot of whispers at the moment but very little concrete.
