I could definitely see them playing but not as a headliner - perhaps a co headliner with another indie based act or something at a push?

As has been said their solo/side projects have both played in recent years so maybe it could be a comeback show as special guests?

Really hoping we get news soon because the speculation is killing me

I now don't think that they will be there because APE makes more sense + headliners at APE never play Latitude in the same year so there must be something in the contract.

They headlined on their own last time they played and any reunion gigs are going to be a bigger deal so if they were playing I think it would be headliner not sub or joint. But yeah don't think it'll be next year sadly.

Early bird tickets are coming off sale tomorrow but as the loyalty rewards can still get it until Sunday I'd imagine the announcement is coming on Monday

Yeah, looks like it. Reckon it's time to stand down for the week unfortunately!

The Lumineers were meant to play the 2020 latitude that got cancelled and are touring next spring/early summer. They’re great live and got a fab crowd when they were at Latitude a while back 🤞🏻

Probably a good shout for around 3rd down Obelisk actually!

Hi , I thought the loyalty reward expired October 8th ? I have the code but forgot to buy in time . I’ve just tried to buy but it says they aren’t available . Anybody know anything about this ?!

Headliners announcement tomorrow at 10am 🙂

Sounds like there will only be a few names but will be nice to know who's playing

Maccabees could still be on in that case as they're announcing their shows tomorrow

Would be surprised if it’s not Sting, Alainis Morissette and The Macabees now

By the looks of it they finished at 4 today sorry

Agreed, but I think Maccabees will co-headline alongside someone else

Alanis and Sting are probably big enough names to headline outright but I can't see Maccabees being a big enough draw on their own. Another indie headliner might be good or something like a dance act to finish the night

If that is true I'd expect FBS to be a 'closing set' a la Underworld 2019 ... Probably with Alanis as the other.

Snow patrol 3 years after they last headlined is uninspired to say the least though. Hopefully we will get a few more names to pad it out a little bit!

I’m an older dad but it’s not doing it for me.

I saw Fatboy last year at Victorious and he put on a great show with excellent visuals but wouldn’t want to see it again - I expect it’s similar every time.

Snow Patrol - I’ve seen them about 4 times so have no desire to make it 5

Which leaves Sting, who I might see just because I have only seen him once and that was in the 80s

But I’ll be hoping for better headliners elsewhere on other stages.

Does this mean Alanis is now a no go or could she  2nd on the bill?

I think it would be advertised as such to be honest.

Alanis has gone from Ticketmaster it seems

Fatboy is actually a pretty bigger seller now so seems fine to me, but just a weak trio in general

I can see Alanis headline the tent or play just before Snow Patrol on the Saturday night (if she is still playing that is)

the tent acts this years were poor (except Ash) bring back Gomez, Yarde act, Murder Capitals for the tent all would kill it.
still hoping for those damn crows but they are more Donington than Latitude

Yeah he definitely pulls a crowd. Was busy for him at Victorious last year, and he has a good show (not sure how much DJing he actually does though - just a lot of egging the crowd on I thought).

However, Fatboy and Snow Patrol have been doing the festival rounds for a few years now. It feels totally uninspired / lazy in terms of booking. But as someone else pointed out, these acts will bring in families with older kids who spend money at the festival.

This is what the main stage at Latitude is these days. I probably wouldn’t be buying a ticket based on this except I’ve been part gifted one so it’s only costing me about £60 for the weekend!

    • Maybe hopeful but get Knocked Loose on the Sunday opposite the legend. Similar to the slot Turnstile had in 2022. Would be absolutely phenomenal.
    • One of my personal favourite bands at the minute - MUNA. Was very surprised not to see them booked in 2023 with their last album but hopefully they'll be around next year. Very fun new album from these guys and, as aforementioned, another standout for me at Big Weekend.
    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
