Latitude 2025

Theyve updated the branding on their website now and social media profiles too, looks like any news is pretty imminent!

I'm very interested to see who's around because there's very little news currently - Alanis is a very good shout, one act I'm stunned has never played

There's another festival announced for the same weekend which looks like it could share some acts, from that I think the weekend could look a bit like this:

Friday

Biffy Clyro

Blossoms

Gabrielle

Johnny Marr

Saturday

Alanis Morrisette

The Last Dinner Party

Tom Odell

Cat Burns

Sunday

Sting

Madness

Alison Moyet

Sister Sledge

Jools Holland and the Rhythm and Blues Orchestra

Jake Bugg is active that weekend and could definitely be a tent headliner

I can't see Biffy doing Latitude but if that was the case is this the best set of headliners the festival have booked? I would genuinely consider going to that and I've never seen a Latitude being enough for me.

Cracking spot on the AM one. A goof from TM there.

She's also been added to the lineup section of Latitudes Ticketmaster page, I highly doubt they'd have added her if she wasn't 100% on as they probably get advance information on everything

Would she headline outright if she's there?

I dunno, they did victorious this year and when you look at previous headliners there is plenty of crossover with latitude so I think it is definitely possible.

I would be the rockiest headliner they have had, but nowadays biffy are pretty mainstream.

yep

I'd expect one younger headliner. Fontaines maybe - vampire weekend also fit that too.

could end up being a more dancey one alternative - Jungle perhaps with a strong support?

Yeah I would guess I younger headliner as well. I know The Last Dinner Party only have 1 album but could they be a possibility having played Latitude 2 years ago?

Jungle with strong 2nd act or Fontaines DC would be good.

I know it's probably a bit tenuous but you could say that there's been a bit of a pattern the last few years. It was mentioned above that Sunday seems to be the more Radio 2 friendly name headliner - at the same time, there always seems to be a more alternative critically aimed act in the Tent... Lankum, Siouxsie, Sons of Kemet, Fontaines...

Assuming Sting does take the Sunday slot, I reckon Ezra Collective would be a good option for tent headliner at the same time.

There's no way last dinner party are big enough to do it

Sub headliner i guess (even that maybe seems a push?)

Yeah I guess so. They sold out 3 nights at Hammersmith Apollo which is why I thought maybe as a long shot. Maybe a possible 2nd stage slot or 2nd / 3rd sub on the main?

I saw Ezra Collective at Green Man last year and they were so good. One of my highlights. I’d definitely take them as tent headliner (now waiting for my hopes to be massively crushed with a lame announcement)

Haha yep, Latitude do have a tendency to dash hopes with the first announcement... Second announcement is always where the gems come through lower down. But I've convinced myself that they're a perfect fit for the slot so I'm along for the ride again!

If they're active then Jungle are probably very likely, especially if there's a smaller headliner as they'd work as a co headliner sort of thing

I'm currently thinking for stage headliners

Obelisk

Alanis Morrisette, Biffy/Jungle, Sting

Tent

Jake Bugg, English Teacher, Leftfield

Yeah you're absolutely right, first announcements aren't usually the best but come the second one and they added day splits it seems a lot better

We can probably expect the main headliners, 1 tent headliner and a couple of Obelisk subs, I'll be very interested to see who's there

Jungle did APE - reckon they would headline outright.

Curveball... The Maccabees have just updated their social media photos... Last headline gig was at Latitude in 2016 ...

Would be a fitting return and the timing is coincidental if not...

Thought the same thing. If they are back then it seems like the timing is very coincidental.

Orlando and 86tvs have both played since they split so clearly have a good relationship with the festival.

Would be a scoop as well if they had an festival exclusive.

Someone on the APE thread has claimed that they are headlining a day there.

Definitely agree the timing works for this though so I am currently leaning (if Alanis headlines) to The Maccabees / Alanis / Sting

I could definitely see them playing but not as a headliner - perhaps a co headliner with another indie based act or something at a push?

As has been said their solo/side projects have both played in recent years so maybe it could be a comeback show as special guests?

Really hoping we get news soon because the speculation is killing me
