It's a few minutes walk from there, then a few minutes walk from Auchan to the bridge. Edit: yes, they sell everything, it's a hypermarket. Any idea of the opening hours during the festival? Do they extend them?

Mondo-kun
Last year we also accidentally found that there is ALDI supermarket right at the festival territory. It was between Samsung Party Area and some VIP camping, don't remember the exact name. Prices were higher than in Auchan but way lower than in other food spots on the island. kristofm
Just to give you a hint about the magic of Auchan, 10-15 mins walk from the entrance of the festival, converted to €: Heineken - 0.9€ Jameson (0.5L bottle) - €16.5 Red Bull - €1.5 Sausage roll - €0.6 /same size as Greggs or anywhere/ Shots like vodka are between €1 and €3. There's also a food court and stuff. Also, some local stuff to try once you're there: Kakaós csiga - pastry with cocoa (0.4€) Pöttyös túró rudi - sweet and cold local "candy" with cottage cheese and chocolate (0.65€) Maybe a shot of pálinka, our "national drink", couple €s. If you're into that stuff you can get sour cherry ale for 1.1€ (Soproni Meggy Ale) which is in my opinion quite tasty even if you don't like beer. It doesn't really have strong beer taste but it's alright. What else... idk. lynx is called axe here if that's helpful to anyone lol Wow I'm so bored I wrote you all a proper shopping list. 2

They sell shots? Is the Heineken cold in a fridge or from a warm shelf?

They've got some fridges but sometimes there are sacrifices to make, like sometimes there are only random lagers in the fridge that are cold cause all Heinekens were taken, or there are a lot of people buying stuff a short period of time maybe so maybe beers are in the fridge they don't have the time to cool down properly, etc. Maybe they sell ice and that could help. It's like Asda or Morrisons basically. For me, when I was young and had no money I just bought a small 0.2L rum and put it in my boxers. Also bought a bottle of coke and that can be brought into the festival for free (at least at the time it was allowed, idk about now). Then, I just walked to one of the bars and asked for a cup of ice to cool down "because of the heat". mixed everything = enjoyed my ice cold budget cuba libre inside the festival
swelsbyuk
The festival starts four weeks tomorrow, does that mean staging has begun to be erected on the island? Or are we still a little too far out? Any locals visited recently - if so, how's the grass situation looking? Although we are going through a heatwave right now,I don’t think it’s gonna cause major problems. This summer can’t even be compared to the last one. luciecoops
Hey guys, went to sziget in 2016 and seem to think the travel card was a waste of money but can't quite remember. Can you give me opinions on getting one please - cheers x

Can you give me opinions on getting one please - cheers x If you are referring to "Sziget CityPass" it's not worth it at all. 75 euros for 9 days/45 euros for 3 days/55 euros for 5 days to ride metro, bus, tram... and some additional discounts for museums and one free entry to a thermal bath is a rip off imo. There is a monthly Budapest-pass for 9500 HUF (25 euros) or a 15-day Budapest-pass for 6300 HUF (16euros) which is far less what Sziget is offering. And if you wanna visit a thermal bath that usually costs around 20 euros. You can check other ticket options here. And you can buy those tickets at any metro/tram stop, usually there are purple machines at those stops.
swelsbyuk
Which main stage headliners will you all be watching? I'm much more interested in the undercard this year, so will only definitely be seeing Florence. I might catch a look at Billie Eilish (but her songs all seem sooooo slow) and Macklemore. No interest in seeing Mumford and Sons, will probably just spend the time getting a good spot for NBT. Yet to decide on ID and Guetta - dance music isn't my area of expertise but he doesn't appear to have the greatest reputation for playing 'live'. clasher
I'm doing the last three days. Regarding headliners I'm only interested in Billie Eilish, will also catch at least a bit of Macklemore. Seems like I'll be mostly camped at Freedome though, that sunday run of Frank Carter - NBT - M83 looks tasty. Guetta is very missable and forgettable IMO. Day for other stuff such as circus.. AJR - Baby queen - Mumford (i guess) - NBT- M83 Giant Rooks - Lorde - Macklemore- Confidence Man for grande finale Leaving home on day 6. Will also try to catch: Easy life, Caroline, Frank Carter, Amyl, TroyBoi, Amber run, M. Goddamn I hadn't noticed that M83 had moved. That's really interesting. I wonder what the thinking behind that was? I genuinely wonder if the M&S day tickets are selling so poorly that they decided to move M83 forward to try and attract local fans as day visitors who wouldn't come if they were playing at 12.30am (work the next day) but might come down if they're on earlier? Likelihood. But it will make M&S field even more empty. That day is so weird, Tom Grennan at 4pm? When was Sziget passport leaked last year ?
