This is all a bit weird. Dave seems genuinely happy to be there but clearly high as a kite!

Think it's his first performance since Taylor died, Paul actually replaced Taylor on a song for Concrete and Gold and they've long been close friends so I think this is much more about a friend helping a friend in a time of need to rebuild confidence than anything else. He's probably not high but absolutely overwhelmed

Right yes you are. From that perspective it’s absolutely lovely.

Yeah, just finished reading Dave’s book and he’s clearly good friends with Macca, not just ‘stage’ friends

Dave Grohl is clearly a lovely guy. So is Macca. But lovely does not a good set make.

It's not like the Foos covered themselevs in glory in 2017. Lots of bullshit breaks, overly eulogising to the crowd for hours, no flow to the set.

Can't disagree more. The crowd loved every minute of their 2017 set

    • Bev Craig to win on first round? BET NOW!
    • Have you tried Anna von Hausswolff yet? Great singer, and she's from Gothenburg so guess she'll be extra excited to show her skills, especially after she unfortunately had to cancel her early summer dates.    Different style, but Oklou for me was the highlight of Primavera (apart from Geese), really enjoyable relaxed music.
    • A few bigger acts that did other similar festivals this year but not Truck, wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of these (if they're touring):   Reytons The Streets Blossoms Sophie-Ellis Bextor Rick Astley Scissor Sisters Dizzee Rascal   Truck on the undercard seems to rotate a lot of it every 2/3 years, expect to see some of these (if they're touring): Yard Act Sports Team Sea Girls Pale Waves Fat Dog Peace Swim Deep Courting   Hope Westside Cowboy and Radio Free Alice are booked again and get some bigger slots next year
    • I read a reliable source saying there's not enough time to stress test and have worked through any major financial decisions between now and then.   So guarantees this budget will just be tinkering at the edges only.
    • Thanks @sisco. Looking forward to it!
