I wonder if they had that vote again they'd vote differently, seeing how successful other mayors like Burnham have been? -
Doesn't surprise me. West Yorkshire had a vote if they wanted a mayor in 2012 and voted no. The government then ignored the vote and announced the position anyway in 2016.
