Price increase on the 3rd of May!

I guess new names soon after

Yeah, I reckon we'll get something in the next 7 days. Hopefully, the final names for the main stages. There'll only be a dozen weeks or so to go at that point, so I'd hope we'd start getting announcements thick and fast after that.

Sub Zero Project confirmed themselves for Sziget.

No idea who they are. Googled them and definitely not someone I'll be seeking out. Does make me feel we are very close to another announcement though.

It’s also not my kind of music. I saw it by accident while looking through all the Instagram posts with an official SZiget tag.

Isn’t it likely to have new names tomorrow before the price increases? Prince increase is tomorrow 16:00.

There will be no more big name far less headliners.

We will maybe see a few names for the tent or sub but I still think we may get 3 to 4 nanes that are known but nothing huge.

I would love to see a few like Liam, wolf Alice, Kasabian  but they are all sub levels

We only have a few weeks at most to wait in my view.

Where did they hint at Jay Z?

Some of my friends mentioned it. Referring to SZiget saying “ I have got 99 Problems” .

I said to my friends Jay Z will no way be announced as all big artists are announced. But after the A$AP Rocky hint and now this sentence it’s not that smart of SZiget in my opinion. Lot of people get too big expectations.

I've got the same feeling, really dumb choices.

although 99 problem may be referring to Anne marrie's "2002" (I think) which is already in the line up. either way using that specific line is really dumb of them

Yes you get what I mean😊

The same happened with A$Ap rocky hint. All the Instagram comments ….people think he is coming now.

I am very very happy with the SZiget line-up of this year but in my opinion they hyping it up sometimes.

judging by the camp tickets, i guess the sales going really good this year.

it scars me, because when i look at the island map, there are a lot of stages missing. you think they gave up on some of them or they'll pop up later on?

I think they've tried to scale back and make savings this year and push the ticket prices up to try to recover some losses from the past couple of years.

I may be wrong of course but I can't believe the 2022 line-up has cost anywhere near as much as 2019.

I am sure it's of a similar budget, maybe a bit less due to there being one less day.

Looking at 2019, the only stand out money wise would be Ed sheeran. He was probably cheaper than this country, plus on a tour.

There looks a lot of like for like, arctic monkeys for foo fighters. Less guitar music supporting the headliners, who were quite old so would be cheap.

I feel like this lineup is weaker (not weak) than 2018 or 2019 and i'm not the only one. Specialy undercards is missing some live bands. They'll push more for electronic music i guess, it's cheaper and popular. And at this point i don't expect more strong names to be added anymore.

Maybe it's because I know so few acts on the undercard that I just assume they're cheaper than 2019's acts!

    • exactly. give them mordor slot when I have other alternatives, not Wednesday
    • Absolutely love her record, System. Definitely an album that rewards a bit of commitment.   She's right on my must-see list. Hoping she's in the Walled Garden, as I think her sound might be a bit muddy if she's early-ish in Far Out.   Ben
    • Same here, I kept trying to go on A View From My Seat to see if each block was worth it. So vague!
    • Ok, I’ve had time to process the experience now, so here is my review.   The good Barcelona - what a beautiful place! What lovely people! The city was like another headliner. Stayed in El Poblenou, and the bars, cafes and restaurants were perfect. Avalanches - Absolutely spectacular, euphoric set. Fantastic stage. Possibly enhanced by substances that I timed right, for a change. Added bonus that I don’t really remember the queue. The Cure - I’ve been a fan for 34 years, and never got round to seeing them, so this was a dream come true. The XX - The sound was exceptional. The lights and setlist perfect, giving each member their moment. Was really loud where I was standing (between the front and the sound desk), but i didn’t notice any chatters - even during the quieter moments. Also loved Men I Trust, .bd. , Big Thief, NewDad and Gorillaz. The food within Parc Del Fòrum was also a lot better than I was expecting.   The bad People talking non-stop throughout some of the sets, and shouting to be heard over the music. I had to move 3 times during Wet Leg just to be able to hear the band over the crowd. It’s probably an age thing, but I just don’t understand it. You’ve paid how much to watch these acts, and now you’re standing with your back to the stage, missing the music and ruining the experience for everyone else? Odd behaviour.   The weather apocalypse on Thursday. I genuinely thought I would be able to tough it out. I couldn’t. Left after Geese. The lack of communication from Primavera didn’t help.   Whilst it was lovely to be by the sea, and the sunsets were very pretty, the site is a bit…concrete-y, isn’t it? I kind of longed for some grass and trees. Often found ourselves standing on the steps by the Adidas yard by some bamboo. This was probably a subconscious need for some nature. The fact that some of the nature included cockroaches did not negatively affect the experience.   My daughter, for running away when she saw the drug dogs in the queue on Thursday, meaning that I lost her for the whole evening. She hid her stash under a bench, and it miraculously survived the storms.   Also, can someone explain the point in having a wristband, when you still have to show your ticket every time you enter and leave the site?   Finally, I would like to nominate myself as one of the bad things about this year’s Primabera. I should have done Primavera a lot better. It was my first one, so I’m still learning, but I think I left too early on the Thursday. Left after the Cure on Friday, so I would be full of energy on Saturday, and then barely made it to the end of Gorillaz anyway, meaning I missed Overmono, Skrillex, Skullcrusher, Kneecap, and a few more I would have liked to see.   All in all Amazing lineup. Decent food options. Cupra and Cupra Pulse stages were very impressive. Weather was perfect for 3 out of the 4 days i attended.   It was always likely to be a ‘one and done’ for me, but we had a blast, even if I am starting to get too old for all this.
