  1. There is always a press conference in April or May. Usually they're announcing there the non-music programs, the smaller venues and they tell us about the changes compared to previous years. And there are always some new names for the main venues as well.
  2. I'll be there too. 😀 Btw Sziget press conference on next Thursday so the official announcement is imminent.
  3. God Is An Astronaut self-confirmed on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/C53mXswN5u4/ I think they're a fantastic addition if you like post-rock.
  4. Yes they mentioned it in the press release. Here can you read it in Hungarian: https://hvg.hu/elet/20240327_halsey-janelle-monae-liam-gallagher-es-skrillex-is-jonnek-a-szigetre
  5. I remember a Hungarian interview with Sziget's booking manager where she told she is a huge fan of Lizzo. She has no tour dates yet so I'm guessing it's her, but I can't find the interview now it was 2 or 3 years ago.
  6. Actually Sziget and Oya have the same owner as well.
  7. Brutus or Kvelertak would be nice on Europe Stage. They will be around I think.
  8. Kiasmos self-confirmed for 11th August: https://www.instagram.com/p/C4dI8hnMtKV/ I think they're a very good addition probably for FreeDome.
  9. If you like them check Dune Rats, Skegss, The Smith Street Band, Tired Lion and DZ Deathrays as well
  10. Looks like I'm the only one who is happy with this announcement. For me Fred Again.., Four Tet, Big Thief, Fontaines D.C., L'Imperatrice, Overmono, Nia Archives, Yard Act, Warhaus, Nova Twins, Wednesday and Blondshell are all very good acts, but I understand if someone wants bigger names especially on the 30th anniversary. I highly recommend Wednesday if you like indie rock, Rat Saw God is one of the best albums this year IMO.
  11. What about Alvvays? They're playing at Øyafestivalen as well.
  12. First names for Flow Helsinki: Fred again.., Pulp, The Smile, PJ Harvey, Jessie Ware, Denzel Curry, Kenya Grace, Overmono, Body & Soul, Herrensauna, ibe, Arppa & Sunnuntain Seireenit, Antti Autio 4, Verneri Pohjola: Monkey Mind, Joalin, and Tinyhawk & Bizzarro
  13. I think there is a good chance for more Aussie bands because many people came from Australia and New Zealand this year. Courtney Barnett, The Chats, Dune Rats, Skegss, Pond, DMA's, The Smith Street Band or King Gizz would be a great addition as well.
  14. Viagra Boys Amyl and the Sniffers Moderat M83 Sleaford Mods
  15. M. Byrd and The Devil's Trade are very good on the Europe Stage or if you like jazzy and funk stuff I recommend Jungle by Night and Jazzbois in Freedome.
  16. Krúbi will play in FreeDome. Here can you read the full press release: https://port.hu/cikk/zene/sziget-ujra-a-regi-fenyeben/article-93154
  17. They sent us a press release with the names, but at the press conference they mentioned even more. I think all of them will be announced in the next few days.
  18. Here's some new artists from today's press conference: JFDR, Charlie Cunningham (Music Box), Amber Run, NOËP, The Mary Wallopers (Europe Stage), Alyona Alyona, 47TER, Balming Tiger, Alice Longyu Gao (dropYard), Band Son Rompe Pera, Kobo Town, The Langan Band, Koza Mostra, BCUC (Global Village) and many Hungarian artists. I recommend The Devil's Trade, Bohemian Betyars, Mordái, Jazzbois and Manaky. Europe Stage and Global Village will switch places, also Europe stage will be bigger and they add more capacity to dropYard as well. And again, sorry for my English. 🙂
  19. Black Midis's first album came out that month as well
  20. I don't think it's Mumford & Sons. They're just announced for Victorious Festival in the UK for 27th August right after Beach Road Weekend in the US, so it seems their European leg in August will start after Sziget.
  21. First names for Lowlands: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=911784659951317
  22. Billie Eilish, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Blink-182, Rosalía, Yung Lean, Nothing But Thieves, Wet Leg, Girl in Red, Bicep, Alvvays
