Probably close the gap slightly when they steal a few labour policies. I think it's a good result for labour as neutralizes Starmer weakness which is lack of personality.

I mean, we'll never know, can't be quantified, so it's all speculation. I think a few things did for him, Truss' tax cuts versus his tax rises, Sunak's perceived disloyalty to Johnson, his whole rich posh boy and rich non dom wife thing, and maybe that first one on one tv debate where he kept talking over Truss and interrupting her. Maybe his skin colour came into it for some, but we'll never know.
