Just had a look myself. Given that he has zero chance of winning, he could pretty much write anything he liked, but this is all pretty vacuous stuff.

it’s easy to laugh off, but ending lockdown instantly and permanently is crazy and could cost thousands of lives if there is a winter wave as predicted.

He promises 6 months of free transport for all and then has a whole page outlining how this will be paid for, without actually saying how it will be paid for.

There’s a lot of moaning about wokery which to my mind is stir-fry, right?

And there’s a nice little dog whistle for the transphobes at the end.

I have no idea why he thought standing for mayor in london was a good idea, he never stood a chance.  He needs to be aiming for english towns where there will be more people who like his bollocks.

The thing is he doesn't actually have the power to end lockdown early does he? Be very surprised if the London Mayor could override those restrictions.

The thing with Boris is, he’s always been sleazy, never had any integrity. That’s his brand. Sacked for lying, twice. The whole Arcuri affair. Extra marital shenanigans that result in kids who he has no contact with. This latest stuff is nothing new, and his supporters won’t really understand how bad it is, or actually care. The only people who do care, would never vote for him anyway.

This will blow over and have zero impact on his standing.

The only thing is if his party end up thinking it's too much and move against him. Or if the DC thing is linked to Gove as I've seen some talk of this being the start of a 'coup' against Johnson.

There isn't any actual dirt on Sunak though, right? He can be blamed for certain policies and actions that helped lead to the 2nd wave we had in the winter...but not sure if there's anything actually corrupt there. Johnson though is a dodgy fucker, and maybe one day that will catch up with him.

It's his background- i have such a natural distrust of those who get that successful in hedge funds and investment banks. Maybe he's just good with numbers...

yeah, I don't know. He's rich, well educated, nice and shiny, and so far is pretty good at politics it seems...Johnson thinks he can just get away with shit with his usual bluster, and so far that has worked very well for him...Sunak is not so stupid and I'm sure is making sure he covers over any misdemeanours. So we'll see...I was thinking Sunak would come undone this year with mass unemployment etc., but it's starting to look like the economy will bounce back, the furlough will have protected many jobs,  and maybe he really is a good shout for next PM after Johnson.

Just had a look at the Tory press opinion pieces tomorrow - the Heil have turned on Cummings and claiming he’s sexist and nasty; The Scum are saying the vaccine rollout and lifting restrictions will mean all this won’t affect Spaffer in the slightest. The latter is probably right.

He won labour's biggest majorities, which decreased after he quit, so maybe he has something to add to a campaign there.....but yeah at same time he's the prince of darkness and mr remoaner etc etc.
