Both Trump and Kamala are crap politicians. But then I'm not American so I'm not really all that bothered. Way too many people here are obsessed with America.

Yes, but if Trump wins, WW3 is very much on the cards, so that's why I'm interested.

Maybe, but at least Harris possesses a semblance of sanity...

I think war is inevitable with either of them. Trump has his eyes on Iran for sure, but these Democrats aren't peace loving hippy lefty types; they're centrists who serve corporate America. And corporate America does like a good war in the Middle East.

This guy is suddenly realising that his constant Sleepy Joe name calling and demanding that Biden to step down has in part caused him to lose this election and he’s freaking the f**k out. Literally BEGGING for Biden to come back on the ticket. Hilarious.

You sound like my brother.

I think US, corporate or not, wants some stability in middle east, but also to maintain influence which is the tricky bit. A wider war at moment will likely damage both, and no one wants that.

I guess the main difference with Trump and Harris is Trump likes a deal, he did that Abraham Accords thing which was good for Israel, good for some Arab countries, but Palestine didn't get a mention, and Iran remained a pariah.

Not sure about Harris, but at least she still talks about a two state solution, whether that's pie in the sky unrealistic talk that just makes further war inevitable I don't know.

But I think bigger difference is Russia/Ukraine/NATO/Europe.

Crazy that this guy seems to have gotten the VP nod purely because of three weeks of him sh*t talking Repubs in TV appearances. I mean, he’s apparently been a great governor too, but didn’t seem like he was known to wider America until he came up with the ‘weird’ thing which caused him to become an instant sensation with Dem voters.

Also great that everybody was seemingly expecting Shapiro and the baggage that came with him so cool to see Kamala/Dems not absolutely f**king it up at every opportunity - they really seemed to listen to what people wanted. They’re not giving Republicans an inch. Most they have on this guy is he got a DUI 25 years ago. f**k all.

Electoral math along with what he has done goes a long way. Get a candidate that has the ability to go into Michigan and Wisconsin to swing them blue goes a lot farther than just getting Pennsylvania. Along with ensuring Minnesota goes blue and thats 3 instead of 1. Youre also forgetting that you have the sitting president who is from Pennsylvania and that can campaign when needed these next 3 months in his own home state. Thats an election right there with those 4 states. Cause you get  to 270 with all that and no Nevada or Arizona. Problem is you dont want this close at all cause of the interference which will follow. Why should Harris have selected Shapiro when all it was going to do was cause more drama then needed. Kelly had great credentials but keeping him in the Senate when youre currently gridlocked is better anyway. Minnesota wouldnt lose a democratic gov since the replacement will be the first native woman to ever be governor. So theres that. Welcome to the dad rock presidency.

This kind of equivalency is so wrong. The Democratic Party today has shown no overt signs that they want wars in the middle east, while they may not be able to prevent such conflicts from arising, and we can certainly question their judgement and loyalties with regard to Israel and Palestine.

Trump on the other hand has already laid the groundwork for withdrawing from NATO and said on record that he would encourage Putin to invade NATO countries. That's what leads to WW3.

I don't know if Trump presidency makes WW3 more likely, think just make US reaction to global events more unpredictable. But whether Trump or Harris wins I think Ukraine/Russia thing will have to come to an end sooner or later, I guess a Trump win means Putin gets more what he wants though. Whoever wins Europe are going to have to start spending more on defence, but Trump will likely make that more profound.

How US reacts if China does invade Taiwan with either Trump or Harris in the Whitehouse is a big unknown. Surely no one wants all out conflict between China and US.

What could also get with Trump is a trade war which could cause some turbulence around the world.

All academic cause Harris is going to win, right?

Right... If the election was today. But we're 3 months out. That sounds obvious, but think how things were exactly one month ago...

Trump has the lead after a disastrous debate for Biden. In the last 31 days we've had the assassination attempt, Biden getting Covid and pulling out, NATO summit, the RNC, Harris nominated, 2 VP picks and tremors in the markets...

yeah, has been crazy...but Harris definitely has the momentum at the moment.

Trump squandered both the RNC and an actual assassination attempt to boost his polling, whereas Kamala has absolutely gamed the system with both Biden’s dropping out immediately after those things, working the pre-existing memes that could’ve easily come across as cringey and out of touch, picked the VP that the ‘people’ wanted, and also still has the DNC coming up which usually means a couple of bumps in the polls. Ball is very much in the Dems court right now and it would take some pretty big f**k up or revelation to mess that up, although granted, I’m sure Republicans are digging for that big October surprise ‘gotcha’, even if they do really seem to be floundering in finding anything on both Harris and Walz right now - they’ve got absolutely f**k all and it’s hilarious.

the attempt on his life happened too early. Timing wise it was perfect to go into the RNC and just seem like he was gonna win it without question but then Vance just chipped away at that and then Biden waiting for the right moment to drop out and made them waste their time in the spotlight for nothing was a master stroke. He was never going to be able to campaign off being shot at for 4 months anyway. It had been stated that the worst thing that could happen to the gop was Biden dropping out.
