Leeds beating Fulham is a great result for Newcastle - we have 2 games in hand on Fulham now. It doesn't change the fact however that Brighton remains must-win, and given we still our terrible manager, I can't say confidence is flowing through my veins.

I'm not sure we have a manager so much as a shouting candle.

Also not sure staying up is better for the club than changing manager + owner.

At the end of the day, Newcastle are in some kind of weird stasis under somebody not Mike Ashley is in charge of the joint.

I do agree that another season of treading water under Bruce isn't really something to be that excited around.

I thought they did for about 80 minutes until Mahrez and de bruyne came on, City didn't create that much and they ran out of steam. Look at the Everton bench in comparison Broadhead, John, Tyrer, Onyango, Leban.. Who are these people??

26% possession, not quite giving it a go. City just wore Everton down playing very defensive football.

They of been spanked if they'd played an open game as Sigurðsson and Gomes simply aren't mobile enough to get back. There is a massive drop off from the first 11, midfield is our biggest problem and we've only managed to put out our first choice there 6 times this season.

I mean, more displays like tonight and staying up is probably not going to be an option. Was astonishingly hopeless.

I thought city are meant to be awesome they're good at hiding it.

You can't be glorious every game, especially when a very decent team puts every player behind the ball.

Haven't they won something like 22 out of 23 games? Only the PE teacher beating them.

I so so hope we get you in the FA Cup.

Ole has a good record against pep hasnt he? Think he has beat him more than lost.

Not bad for a shit team and a pe teacher.

Hes never beat him in a game that matters. In fact over the last decade or so, United have wilted every time it has meant something. City have won 3 semi finals and the shoot out for the title, when Kompany scored. Every time City have played their best team, they have totally played United off the park.

United play like a rekegation threatened team when they play City. Camp out on edge of box and thrn boot it over the top to one of the speed boats up front. You play against us how Sheff Utd play against you.

What a team going for the quad can't figure how to beat a team like that.

I hope city enjoy a trip to Wembley but not the trip home after.

Why? Are you and your Scouse mates going to be throwing bricks at the bus again?
