Hugh Jass
United effectively saying they’ll try this again soon... Manchester United will not be participating in the European Super League. We have listened carefully to the reaction from our fans, the UK government and other key stakeholders. We remain committed to working with others across the football community to come up with sustainable solutions to the long-term challenges facing the game. jyoung
Decent statement from Arsenal. United and Liverpool's both shite. No mention of fans, just stakeholders.

CST calling on resignations at board level. Bit dramatic as I assume they won't be asking Roman to go...
pink_triangle
Chairman Daniel Levy said: “We regret the anxiety and upset caused by the ESL proposal. We felt it was important that our club participated in the development of a possible new structure that sought to better ensure financial fair play and financial sustainability whilst delivering significantly increased support for the wider football pyramid Looks like we got it wrong, they were the good guys after all. thetime
The big 6 should still be punished, owners should be forced to sell.

st dan
Decent statement from Henry here - it’s obviously a load of waffle and he knew exactly what he was doing when signing up for it, but fair play for facing up to it himself via video and not hiding behind a letter. He’s taken full and sole responsibility for the decision.

Apart from the Glazers who should not be allowed to sell for 20 years. City have actually done alright out of this debacle. City have never had a voice within UEFA, never had a representative on any committee. Now, none of our rivals do either,as they have all quit. Hugh Jass
The ESL has vowed to "reshape". This is like a superhero film where everyone thinks the bad guys have been defeated but then there's a post-credit scene where Perez, the mastermind, is revealed to be alive and plotting revenge... The worst thing about the (very short) process was hanging the managers out to dry. Having them come out on TV after a game and not having had the decency to give them a heads up about it. Disgraceful stuff. Ole looked like a rabbit in headlights. Klopp had to answer questions after dropping two points late on etc. If there was any doubt left about how little of a shit these owners give about their staff and fans..... Oh absolutely - just think it’s right he’s at least had the decency to front up and give a video message. Definitely not heart felt in the slightest, but it’s more than I imagine the other 5 owners are bothering to do.

Id say the Glazers are sitting in mansions in Palm Beach going "Ah it didnt work? Sure just get the marketing kid to send a message out about it". Interesting to see what punishment comes out of this now.

Not far off - this was as good as we got from the ‘Communications Department’. 53 words and not even a sorry, or regret in sight. Disgusting.
